if it is bad as you say it is you should really talk to a doctor about it. What is the worse that could happen.

I would definitely see a doctor. That having been said, it sounds like you are having a panic attack. Are you worrying about anything, or nervous? Nerves and worry (or sometimes nothing at all) can cause your heart to pound and chest to hurt (called heart palpitations). When you start to get more anxious, you start to breathe irregularly, which will cause the headache. Nerves will also cause the tight feeling in your chest.
I know -- I'm 38 years old, but at 16 had horrible anxiety and many of the symptoms you describe. Tell your parents, and see a doctor to rule anything else out. If it is just nerves, they can help you with that too.
Take care of yourself!

Yes, I agree with going to see your Doctor.
You also could have a bad case of heart burn or indigestion.
Try forcing your self to burp, to expel some of the gases.
That too can feel like an elephant is sitting on your chest!
Heart problems and signs are different for each person, Men and Women, experience different symptoms. So again....see your doctor.
Here are some tips for A Stoke test!
Ask the individual to SMILE.
Ask the person to TALK . to SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE
(Coherently) (i.e. . . It is sunny out today)
Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.
{NOTE: Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out their tongue.. if the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other that is also an indication of a stroke}

when in doubt go. that's the rule of thumb i use and all of my siblings (about half of which are doctors) all tell me the same thing. i would say that it is stress since i have had similar chest pains before. it turns out nothing major was wrong but it made me feel better to have it thoroughly checked out. i had soem minor inflamation of my heart sac which the doctor said sometimes happens when you have a virus. ( by the way he and the er doc both told me that i had doen the right thing by coming right in.)

Yes, go to the doctor. Anything that causes you that much pain should be checked out ASAP. And if it turns out to be nothing at least you will have set your mind at ease. Wouldn't you rather know than worry about it all the time?

Any time an elephant sits on you, or you feel like an elephant has sat on you in the past, is a good time to see your doctor.

My first question is does anyone in your family suffer from any type of anxiety disorders , second is are you stressed , third is find out your ancestoral ailments and this may help you self diagnose , the next thing if it continues i would suggest getting an EKG at minimum

Hi, Instead of coming to this website just go to the doctor. I'm pretty sure that that would be your best and healthiest bet.

You definately need to see a doctor. He needs to know everything that has been going on with you and then come up with a diagnosis.
