I like apple cider vinegar, but it does totally depend on what you are cooking and what kind of flavor you are trying to achieve.

depends on what you are making. White distilled is generic vinegar, and can be used for most applications in cooking or baking. Although I use apple-cider vinegar in baking and for pork.
