You don't believe like me! Your going to HELL< . You will burn in the lake of FIRE! ETC........
Man what a mess all this is!
Reading some posts here and there, people just think they know it all! That's FUNNY!
So what do you do? Your young, your wondering what life is all about, what do you do? You get with a church, hey they believe in GOD> Great! But here are the rules: Yea lots of rules. Can't do this, can't do that, you will go to hell if you do!
Now if you believe like us(the church), you will go to heaven with us, and everyone else won't.!
AKKKKKK! and I mean ALL the man made religions, find one way or another to condem others for not beliveing like them and I mean ALL>
You know that Jesus said, one thing! Here it is and its easy, LOVE>

Keep exercising your free will. You seem to understand quite a lot. If something is wrong or feels wrong - ASK someone, respectfully. You should get a respectful answer, and maybe it will start a change, a refocusing of your community to a better end. Free will is a good thing - or else why did GOD gift it to us. (?)
Remember to honor and respect others - that's also important. Keeping your community together is important to. (That's the rules part you mentioned.)
As we are all humans, everyone is right and wrong equally. No one knows the plan of GOD, so there's confusion. (which again you understand.)
Getting along with each other is the primary goal.
Also not using force is our goal, controlling our free will to be positive builders, not random destroyers, is why there are rules. If totally uncontrollable we tend to think that person will be unwelcome in the presence of GOD, (this would be hell).
"You know that Jesus said, one thing! Here it is and its easy, LOVE" -- ah yes your right, but we are humans - and very young humans - so there will misunderstandings and mistrust until as a people/planet we mature. Don't loose heart - we have grown a little. Two steps forward one step back, it's a start.

The Church I go to does not waste time on Fire and Brimstone, or everyone else is going to hell. . . .but we do spend time on supporting each other and a Christian Life. Most of all, praising Him. Setting example.
In your heart you know what is right and wrong if you had the up-bring by some God loving person/persons or some Church.
That is in its self reason to know "to do or not to do" something.
Love: read those 10 commandments, you will know how to treat others, respect yourself, trust, feel good about something and yourself.
You are never alone with God. It is the most simple way to feel good about yourself. Who cares if someone puts you down for making someone have a better day because of your actions.
Yes, Actions speak louder than words. . . .

I am a christian & I agree there are a lot of man made religions & churches out there...you need a basic bible preaching church. The pastor at a local church here doesn't believe in women preachers, but I love some of them..Joyce Meyer in particular. Unfortunately...It's just like most anything now days, you have to be able to study Gods word & know His truths & not worry about the "manmade" stuff.
Good Luck & God Bless!

Religion is not just about going to heaven. It's kinda like guidelines on how we should conduct ourselves on a day to day basis. Yes, there are rules but without rules, humans will be in chaos. Just imagine a country with no rules and punishment. Robbers, rapists, killers will be widespread. Punishment is just to deter people from committing crimes and to tell them that there are consequences to their actions. Even with rules being enforced, there are criminals still let alone in the absence of one.
I do not judge people who do not believe in God as I believe there are both good and bad in all humans regardless of their faith. If all humans are civic minded, kind, thoughtful, tolerant... there will be no need for rules in any kind.

if jesus said you had to believe in him to get to heaven, why did he say the kingdom of god is within you?
and what do we know that jesus really said? we know that one of the most famous things jesus ever supposedly said was never uttered by him, because the story of him telling no one to throw a stone unless they've never sinned was only added to the gospel centuries after the gospel was first written. yikes! that is only one example of all the things that make it very difficult or impossible to know what jesus really said - scribes copying the gospels have demonstrably made errors and changes over the centuries - and there are no originals, only copies of copies. so, yikes... people should get real.

Some people just need to get used to the fact that we are all individuals......although some seem to be like "sheep", but that is another thing...... we ALL have the right to believe or not believe in what is right for us. I think people should just let others be with what is best for them and stop this nonsense!

Jesus is attributed with saying a bunch of really asinine stuff as well. Even hate has it's place. The idea of loving your enemies is just plain stupid.
Sorry, he's not only mythical, he isn't even very inciteful. Read Russell if you want incite.

Well thats only half true. You wont get Christians saying "you dont believe like me you are going to Hell" you might get a few non-christian gamers like Bibleman who are pretending to be christian because its summer vacation and mom and dad arent home. But Christians wont say "believe like ME" thats is what you people CLAIM we do but we dont. We tell you to believe God and HIS Word not our own. You act as though we wrote the book.. we didnt, we just tell you what it says.
