He isn't around my cats he is at my husbands house that we are remodeling. The neighbor that left it i called the police on because i saw him beating the dog so after a lenghty argument i called the cops but it got him to stop hitting the poor thing.. His excuse was that it had killed his puppy i personally did not think that dogs kill puppy's i knew a male cat would kill kittens and i have young kids so i will not bring my other animals around it to test it and see

I will take it if it's still available. Please email me or I'll email you and figure out a transport of some sort. I'm in southern Alabama.
I have a spayed female hybrid (Mexican Grey and Malamute) and work with my local shelter and humane society with adopting these animals from them (whereas by law they are supposed to euthenize such a breed immediately).
If we can get this one down here to me, I will help him recover and either keep him or send him off to another rescue group or park.
PS To the ones who say it'll eat a cat.....I have four cats and they all curl up with my hybrid at night.
PPSS to the next poster........I have a 2 year old, a 5 and a 6 year old and the dog is a better babysitter than any "trained human" is.
AMY: Just sent you an email. 10:10 PM

Send me an e-mail with information and a picture. I am part of a huge rescue e-mail list that gets e-mails all over the nation. I live in Tennessee, so it wouldn't be too far.
If anything post flyers up in vet's offices, grooming shops, ext. But stay away from teh paper with free to good homne ads. A lot of times people who work form labrtories will get a free to good home dog and sell it to the labs to be tested on. some have even been known to bring kids with them to be more conviencing. Scary huh?
Send me an e-mail and I will see what i can do to help you.

I wish! But I live in an apartment in a whole other country! Bless your good heart! And good luck finding a home for such a great animal! My brother had a hybrid for about 15 years and she was the sweetest thing! One GIANT fluffy puppy! She never lost the wolf's need to play!

I would call a rescue for wild animals or a sanctiuary, I was bitten by my sister's wolf hybrid, after he bit my black lab on the eye. the wolf was only 1, so I would call a rescue, I dont know about Arkansas but here in Oregon its illegal to keep a wolf hybrid, in the eyes of the law its a wolf and therefore a wild animal.

Don't put it down...he may be a very nice, loving, yet neglected dog, who doesn't deserve death.
And just because he looks half wolf doesn't mean that he is half wolf (to respond to a previous comment)...if he were, he would have probably eaten your cats by now :)
I would suggest to submit him to your local pet shelter or rescue group. Both of these places would most likely make every effort to find him a good home!

Put it down people abuse animals like that......they are dangerous and can become VERY mean at any second. It is a risk giving it away expecially to a person that has children or live stock poltery anything......That is my advice and I think it would be the best way to go....

put an add in your grocery store and post office. Run an add in the local paper. someone will take her off your hands...sounds like a beautiful dog! You are a good person for stepping up and taking her in. You will be rewarded!!!
Good Luck.

1) are you sure it's part wolf? most huskies look wolfish anyway, and so do alaskan malamutes.
If you're sure it's a hybrid (half wolf), you might want to find a rescue agency for it. They can be very unpredictable and should not be exposed to small children if possible.

please try to find a wolf rescue group to take this puppy. he is sweet now, but as he gets older he will behave less predictably and more like a wolf. I love wolves, but they aren't pets. Wolf-hybrids are also dangerous... they act enough like dogs to fool you into thinking they are dogs, but they have enough wolf that they will act unpredictably and can be dangerous.
good luck.
