I want ANWR drilled now. However, the drilling of ANWR would not do jack to the price of gas in the USA. Building more refineries would.

I won't EVER demand drilling in ANWR, regardless of how high the price gets. ANWR is off-limits. I will, however, demand that the government start building more solar, nuclear, and wind power plants. I will also demand that more hybrids, alternative fuels, better public transportation, etc be made available to our citizens.

For the post below me that asks, "What the hell is ANWR?"
Alaskan National Wildlife Refuge. It's land that has been set aside for preservation, NOT oil drilling!

Well, that has been the plan all along hasn't it. And I knew from the start, unfortunatly that doesn't help anyone.
Bush wanted to drill in Alaska years ago and this is what the oil prices going up have been all about. It gives the oil companies more profit because they charge the same amount of money for oil they get cheaper.
The animals that are going to die as a result don't really matter them.

It's not worth the amount of oil in ANWR to justify drilling it. We need to be spending our resources to develop and implement alternative fuels sources and not be so wasteful. If we can figure out how to send people to the moon, we can get off oil.

Quickest solution to high priced oil and gas is to stop driving in mass. Don't buy...don't travel....walk to work...do not use our vehicles for recreational purposes.....the price would drop because the demand for a time would go down and the supply would go up....the oil companies would not go to long without lowering prices to get people back to buying.

I won't ever demand it. We should demand higher gas taxes and more taxes on the Exons of the world to develop alternate fuel technologies. Alternative energy is the only train and we'd better leap aboard before it is too late.
