My friend [who is 11 years old] has really gone overboard lately. She brags about her clothes [which I don't care about], talks in a preppy manner [like totally <33], and has been really bratty lately. I'll get straight to the point.

She drinks wine coolers because she thinks its cool! Shes underage by 10 years! Her mom is aware, but doesn't think a little alcohol will hurt her daughter. I have told my parents, and some family friends. They think that its crazy but its her problem and that it should be left to her. This girl is the daughter of my mom's best friend. I have talked to this girl about it and she said, "but it tastes soo good and its the stuff that people do nowadays just deal with it."

Help please.

You sound older then 11....you tell her to stop! If she doesn't listen, tell your mom and let her deal with it....

Personally that is just nuts I'm okay with a kid having a sip once in awhile but it almost sounds like your friend is becoming an alcoholic talk to her and her mom together and if that doesn't work report it to child services and let your parents know that is easily considered abuse and neglect for a child. Question does her mom have a drinking problem if so this could be tricky maybe take a parent or even a teacher along with you. I hope this helps and she will thank-you for this when she realizes the path she was taking.

you should tell a teacher or principal. Early underage drinking can lead to a big problem later in life. Your friend is lucky to have a friend like you who cares so much. But make sure you don't start doing anything like that. You seem to have your head on stright

OMG, that is scary.
You should try having another talk to her about it, but don't get mad or frustrated. Have a heart to hear conversation and let her know that you are concerned about her and you love her very much. Pray for her too. Good luck.
