Isnt it funny how everyone is getting a kick outta bashing Dr. Kent Hovind when they cant even admit to their own shortcomings? Yea he did wrong and Jesus cannot justify what he done but He CAN forgive the man. Remeber that the Bible says "Why do you point out the speck of sawdust in your brothers eye when you have a plank in your own eye"?

Kent Hovind is not perfect but he did screw up I'll admit-- but dang... the man knows the truth-- he knows his word. Who are we to sit up high on our religous pedestals and point our finger at him when we have sinned ourselves????? The bIble also says " He who has no sin, let him cast the first stone". That means (for those of you who dont know) that if you say you have no sin- you are allowed to judge and punish and point out their sin. Therefore none of us are perfect and only Jesus is... Come on guys..... lets not forget who we are

OKAY THERE SEEMS TO BE SOME CONFUSION HERE--- I am in no way judging anyone- maybe you guys that think that are automatically jumping to the defese by saying that... I do have shortcomings and I will tell you right now that I spend way too much time on the Internet -- as well as being unorganized as well... same thing #11 says actually (what a coincidence) but I am not even excusing the man- he was wrong yes- but the man IS LIVING UNDER THE GRACE OF GOD SINCE HE IS SAVED.... My point of this post was prompted by the Holy Spirit- not me--

For all of you who asked what he done- he commited tax fruad and yes it makes a bad witness but then again me and you are not perfect either are we?

I fully agree with you. Shocked? You shouldn't be. I may not be a Christian but I do know the teachings of the Bible. I don't know who this person is nor what he has done but it isn't for us to judge him. If your God can forgive him, then why can't the rest of you guys? Are you higher up than your own God is?

Well, yes he did screw up, but if you are going to represent yourself as a Christian, you need to walk the walk, not just talk the talk. I will be the first to admit I have short comings. I spend way too much time on the internet. I can be rather disorganized. However, tax fraud is not a short coming. It's against the law. Why should he be excused from what he did wrong when anyone else would be in trouble. I don't think acknowledging the fact that he did something wrong is being up on a pedestal. Why is it that if someone from the Christain right gets caught (Rush and Richard Bennett come to mind) we should excuse them?? Do you think Jim Bakker and Jimmy Swaggart did no wrong?? I just don't like hypocrisy. By the way I don't think Jesus would approve of tax fraud because he did say give Cesar what is Cesar's meaning--pay your taxes and follow the law.

Kent Hovind is a liar and a hypocrite, not a scientist. He calls himself a scientist but rejects the scientific method. I could call myself a heart surgeon all i want but if i don't know how to perform a heart surgery I'm not really a surgeon am i?

He complains that HIS tax dollars are funding false science when he is up on charges for tax evasion. He misquotes Darwin among others. He continues to include material in the theory that was discarded years ago by REAL researchers and use it as a straw man. He makes countless false dichotomies, hell just about every logical fallacy makes an appearance in his rants...

I could go on and on about the man but i don't have the energy. Sure he's a funny guy, and he knows how to give a good speech, but does that mean he knows what he's talking about? Of course not. I'll give him credit for being a great orator, but his debate tactics are deceitful. The man is a liar, pure and simple.

I look at it this way - and I admit that maybe my perspective is wrong, but ...

If someone does something unknowingly, that's one thing.
But if someone does something with intent, that's another situation.

From the accounts that I have heard and read, this man has blatantly tried to defraud the government and avoid paying taxes, from the way that he makes withdraws from the bank to how he designates his employees as "missionaries" or some other nonsense.

I am not criticizing him due to his religious beliefs, and I don't agree with those who do. Nor do I agree with those who defend him saying "Christains aren't perfect, either".

I am not asking anyone to be perfect. But I do expect that one will abide by the law. When one doesn't, I expect that they will be faced with the consequences of their actions.

And this man has, by his actions, discredited himself. Regardless of whether he is forgiven or not, his actions certainly call his ideas into question.

Yep, I've made this same point several times in this forum. Many non-believers like to pretend that Christians are claiming they're morally perfect on the earth. We're not perfect, but we are forgiven. We've handed over our imperfections to God, and He's replaced them with Christ's perfection. It sure is embarrassing when we screw up though--kind of taints our testimony.

It is funny. It's fun too. Kent Hovind is a charlatan with fake credentials who has made a fortune off lying to the gullible. When people like that get their comeuppance, it makes you feel all warm and cozy inside.

May he rot in prison and get raped by those he misled.

It's seeing that they preserve doing the identical promos and just about attempt to carry again historic storylines as an alternative of creating new ones. Example, how they're advertising the brand new DX Army t-shirts and their front at summerslam. WHAT IS THE CREATIVE TEAM PAYED TO DO? It's ridiculous all they do is carry again historic storylines simply in lamer type. In effect it makes DX seem lamer too. Thanks for pointing that out.

Isn't it funny how you just did exactly what you are ripping on? Your judgment is okay, but others are wrong to do so?

Yeah, the Bible says not to judge. So don't.
