How come God only talk to men? All the books in the Bible are written by men. God don't like talking to women? The Pope are only men, priest are only men. Even Jesus, son of God, is a man. Is God afraid somehow is message would get lost if he had spoken to a woman? Maybe just like in real life, women might put too much meaning into the words God says, and will mis-interpret him?

Any thoughts?

To be more specific. Why are all the books in the Bible written by men? Esther and Ruth might be about women, but no one knows who wrote them.

How come you cannot write in proper English??

How come you mention God and Women and you get a bunch of answers some so long it takes a coffee break to read them??

How come being agnostic I can't really believe this kind of reaction to a book., they should make a movie. oops they did??

What did Jesus do between birth and age 30?

Did he date?
Did he play games with his friends?
Was he a good son?
Did he stay out of trouble?
Did he go to school?
Did he get good grades?
Did he play sports?

How come this "man" just appeared at the age of 30 and suddenly everyone was his follower, with all the adoration he received at birth from the three kings, etc., you think he would of had a great childhood, great enough to write about.

Is anybody who quotes the bible open-minded enough to have their mind changed in any little way?

Show concrete proof there is a God?????

Islam clearly teaches that a woman is a full-person under the law, and is the spiritual equal of a male. Also, according to Islamic Law, women have the right to own property, operate a business and receive equal pay for equal work. Women are allowed total control of their wealth, they cannot be married against their will and they are allowed to keep their own name when married. Additionally, they have the right to inherit property and to have their marriage dissolved in the case of neglect or mistreatment. Also, Islam does not consider woman an "evil temptress", and thus does not blame woman for the "original sin". Women in Islam participate in all forms of worship that men participate in. Actually, the rights that Islam gave to women over 1400 years ago were almost unheard of in the West until the 1900s. Less than fifty years ago in England and America, a woman could not buy a house or car without the co-signature of her father or husband!

Islam is winning Western women admirers despite hostile media coverage It is even more ironic that most British converts should be women, given the widespread view in the west that Islam treats women poorly. In the United States, women converts outnumber men by four to one, and in Britain make up the bulk of the estimated 10, 000 to 20, 000 converts, forming part of a Muslim community of 1 to 1.5 million.

God spoke to and speaks to women all the time. Esther and Ruth are books of the Bible and they're women. Did you miss that part? I dont think you're going to get anyone who has actually read the Bible to agree with you here buddy.

Because the Bible was written in a time period when women had little to no rights or respect in society.

Isn't that enough proof to you that it's a big sham? If it were the true word of God, or even inspired by God, wouldn't it represent an enlightenment, and not the ignorance of the past?

God does NOT hate talking to women! Female prophets are found throughout scripture, starting at creation! You apparantly are not reading the entire Bible.

The first proclamation of the coming of Christ was given to a woman: Eve

Sampson's Mother recieved the visitation from the Angel prophesing his birth--his dad had to ask for a revisit.

Miriam--Moses' older sister, was a prophetess.

Isaiah's wife was also a prophetess. We simply don't have anything from her recorded.

Deborah was a prophetess and a general in the war against Sisera (Judges). In fact, the main general-Barak-refused to go into battle against Sisera unless DEBORAH WENT WITH HIM. Sisera was eventually killed by another woman, because of Barak's disbelief.

There are many different prophetess mentioned in the OT.

Anna was a prophetess in the time of Jesus-she prophesied over Him when He was a baby.

Mary DEFINATELY heard from God.

Jesus reached out to women in compassion all the time, and not to just the "nice, religious" ones either. He rescued one prostitute from a religious mob that wanted to kill her. He took the time to speak to a Samaritan woman at a well, and back then, that wasn't done! His affection for Martha and Mary (Lazarus' sisters) is well known. He rebuked His disciples for pestering Mary Magdalene for annointing his feet with perfume ("wasting" money).

Who was at the tomb when Jesus came out of the grave? Who was given the first Gospel message: "Go, and tell My brothers that I am going ahead of them..." yup, a WOMAN. A WOMAN was the first evangelist.

Junias was recognized as a female apostle.

Other female prophetesses are recognized in the NT.

The only way you can avoid seeing all the women in the Bible, is to rip half of it out!

Jesus said that to God, there is no difference between male and female as far as their spirituality is concerned. And guess who was the first one to see Jesus after His Resurrection. A woman. Mary Magdeline. She was the first person to tell others about Jesus being alive.

The Bible mentions women several times. I don't know where you got that. Read the Bible a little more in depth.

Who told you God does not speak to women?
Who was it that spoke to the prophetesses in the Bible, telling them what to speak?
God speaks loud and clear to all mankind, men and women alike.

Anna, Deborah, Huldah, Miriam, Noadiah

Actually, Jesus Christ had fellowship w/ women as they were the first ones to realize He had risen. He had fellowship w/ Mary & Martha (Lazurus' sisters) and Mary Magdalene. Just look at the women in Western civilizations for your answer.
