A couple of weeks ago I met this little black girl who's about 3 or 4 years old. She lives a few houses down from my sister. This little girl has a dark redish color to her hair. You can see some brown and black color in her hair as well but it is mostly dark red. I tried to ask her if her mother colors her hair but she was shy and wouldn't talk to me. I aked my sister if that was the little girls natural hair color and she said that the little girls mother said it was her natural color. Sorry I can't remember the little girls name. She also has very dark skin color and both her parents are black with dark skin. So is this possible? Or is the little girls mother dying her daughters hair and doesn't want to say so. I have seen black people with light color eyes and even light blue eyes but never natural red hair.

Her mother is NOT dying her hair - it is completely normal. Check out Malcolm X - he had light hair and freckles. :)

I am a dark-skinned black girl with reddish medium brown hair(in summer it would turn almost blonde,I swear)(kind of like my avatar). I was really self-conscious about it so I dyed it black for like 2 years because I was so tired of people calling me a liar saying that wasn't my real hair color(or my real hair, period because it was mid-back length, almost to my butt). Finally, I decided to get my old color black and dyed it-breaking my hair off(it's just past my shoulders now). My point is, it can happen(my mother is mostly black but there's some scots-irish so she has bright red hair(she's light skinned with freckles, though) and I doubt anyone is so retarded as to dye their kids' hair.

hello i am black and not mixed at all, i used to have black reddish hair when i was young (at age 6 till 12) it turned blonde on summer and when i got 15 it became very dark without me dying it, nothing, it just turned out very black... maybe her hair color is not completely settle it happens sometimes. and we can have different hair color, u don't need to be mixed... it is nature!! that's all :+).
or if the girl uses relaxer also, she can have reddish hair, because of the sun... that also is normal.

I say black hair. It will accentuate your pale skin and your green eyes. Look at Katy Perry before? She rocks the jet black hair. It looks angelic.

i have seen black people w/red hair before....so i don' t think her mom is that crazy to dye her hair at the age of 3 or 4...just because her mother/father is dark doesn't mean anything...maybe someone that was in their family had red hair-its genetics

Don't be a Racist. Just because someone is Black does not mean they may not have the Genetics for hair color other than Black or Brown.
