well... your hair could turn orange and then your mom would really be mad cuz she would have to pay to get it fixed or she could let you go around with orange hair. The color in the boxes at the store don't usually have strong enough hair color to make dark hair into blonde. So.. be careful if you do it. I hope I don't have to say I told you so.

You can have cancer because of all the chemicals in hair dyes, that's rare but very possible. What could be worse than that?
If your worried about the looks, it couldn't be that bad since a lot of dark-haired fellows bleached their hair blond. It looked funny but experimentation is fun. Your hair will grow back to your natural hair color and once the roots start to come out, it will like unremoveable dark oval-shaped "yamakkah" on top of your head. Then it's time to color your hair again and it will become a ritual to make it even. Choose different color if first try didn't come out as nice. Too much hair dye can dry your hair after awhile. So better listen to your Mom and wait for her approval. Once it's granted, you can go together to the salon and she will pay for yours too.

someone noticed that 'ur hair will turn Orange'-I totally agree with her. I have dark blown hair and when I dye myself, hair turned Orangee-brown or Reddish-brown EVERYTIME. that was not pretty... I don't know u have favorite colour but I'm sure u can't have 'real-lookin' light golden brown unless U go hair salon. (and if u want to keep beautiful, u need lots of expensive treatments too) Sounds u are still teenager and ur mom pays for everything...its better to listen ur mom now...

Your hair is black and you want to dye it golden brown? Nothing is going to happen. It's not drastic enough to make it turn orange.
Wait a couple of years when your mom can help you, she knows more then your friends about this kind of stuff.

So what you're saying is that you have decided to defy your Mom .....and probably screw up your hair and hope your Mom doesn't notice?..........Wow......you should think on this some more......is a few dollars worth of haircolor worth what the situation you are setting yourself up for???? And what if you really muck up your hair....please say that you aren't going to expect your Mom to help you with that expense.....

think its too much shade lighter than your current hair colour... suggest you don't attempt the job on your own cos you might gets uneven 'colour patches'... furthermore, hair dye products purchase off the shelf is usually not as chemically strong enuff as those salon types so the results may not be lasting.. anyway i wil definitely get the job done at a salon cos its crowning glory.. don't risk it.

your hair will turn orange.
first rule in hair color: lightening brown hair should be done with extreme care, because it turns orange.
also, if your mom says no, and you do it anyway, your mom will be pissed and you lose her trust.
losing parents' trust=early curfews in high school

the worst that could happen is your hair could turn orange-y from trying to lighten it so drastically.....
if your hair is very dark...and you want to go so light...you should really strip it first......
not good to start abusing your hair like that so young.
