Matthew 5:10-12 - Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for my sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
Matthew 10:21-22 - Now brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child, and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death and you will be hated by all for my names sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.
Matthew 10:34-36 - Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter in law against her mother in law. and a mans enemies will those of his own household

Of course. All you have to do is mention Christianity and look at how you are attacked on this site! (Did anyone else read these answers?) I don't even like answering these anymore because so many people attack the Christians that it just seems pointless. You just can't get through to those people.
The problem is that everything that has ever been disapproved of by Christianity is now coming out as a driving force against anyone who does not fully embrace and condone it.
Homosexuality, abortion, occult practices, far eastern religions, Buddhist meditation and ideas, etc. Every single one of those things is being shoved down our throats and force fed to our children, and yet you can't even show the slightest bit of Christianity anywhere in public without being sued or publicly attacked.
My daughters are allowed to learn about all religions, cultures, etc., in school, but are not permitted to mention publicly their faith in Christ.
As a Christian, it is very sad to me, but Jesus said do not throw your pearls to swine. It makes no difference to the kind of people who answer these kinds of questions with all their hateful ignorance.

I find it strange that this question is asked under "Etiquette"
But Christ or the Christian God are powerful enough, and high enough to be untouched by any human attack. And even if they are not ( Why else would ppl be trying to protect them) , they should be merciful enough ( I hope) to pardon people who doubt them.
And same stands for all faiths. God is usually said to be omniscient, omnipotent, omni-everythingy-ent. You don't need to be fighting or hurting others for a God that asks you not to judge your brothers ( Other humans). You are but finite, and God infinite, YOu can't save God, God can save you.
Don't worry about it! Aslan will take care of everything LOL ;-)

I dare say people are far more polite than you're giving them credit for. Certain sects of Christianity are a JOKE because of the way they treat people of other beliefs, because it's so completely egocentric, and anti-Christian to believe that there is only one right way to believe, and there by judging the rest of the world as being destine for hell. I have respect for Christianity as a Christian, but I disagree with your statement that other religions don't have mutual respect. God bless you too.

There are places contained in the international the position Christians face certainly persecution. besides the undeniable fact that, maximum of what Christians ***** about isn't element of that certainly persecution. Christians contained in the U. S., for instance, do no longer face intense attack. no longer having the flexibility to ascertain a nativity on pulbic land at the same time as protecting off the symbols of different faiths, for instance, isn't an attack on Christianity. saying "satisfied holiday journeys" isn't an attack on Christianity. no longer letting factors of Christianity alongside with Creationism learn in our colleges as clinical actuality isn't at attack on Christianity.

Christianity has been under attack since Jesus walked and preached on the Earth before he ascended to be with the Father. Nothing has changed. Why do the Muslims hate the Jews so much? I bet if you ask one of them, they couldn't even answer...they know hate from generations, not personal experience.

Christianity has been under attack since it's inception and will be until the coming of Jesus. That's one of the reason's a lot of people are not Christians, It takes too much sacrifice and will power. Most people will always choose the easy way out.

I don't think Christianity is under attack. I think people are tired of so-called Christians telling them they are going to hell, etc. The majority of people in this country are Christians. Personally, no one has ever made fun of me for my religion and I know people who are Wiccans, Buddhists, and even people who don't have a religion or faith that I know of. I think it's a matter of respect. If you respects someone's choice of a faith, he/she will respect yours.

Christianity has been under attack for a while. For instance when you go to church automatically you're made fun of for being a "goody-two shoes hiding from the truth" so they tag you as a skank or a rapist or a drugdealer.
FRANKLY, I"M SICK AND TIRED OF IT!?
what is wrong with actually believing in something that makes sense? what is wrong with having a firm faith of what to come? what is wrong with believing that God is our only help in trouble? AND..
what is wrong with just being yourself, in what you believe and hope to accomplish?

Not in the least. Christians are the majority in America.
The problem is your expectations and your desire to shove your religion down other people's throats. Thankfully our constitution protects us from that. You want to force other people's children to pray in school when there is absolutely nothing prohibiting your children from praying at home. Heck they can pray to themselves at school if they want.
The problem is that most Christians aren't content to be Christians. They want everyone else to be Christian. That's why we're killing one another all over the planet.
