Go to www.fisherbikes.com and go to the matchmaker option or the compare option to find the right bike for you! Also, I would look at a getting a good front shock over getting disc brakes anyday. I have a Gary Fisher Marlin and it has been a great bike for me. The frame is set up to be upgraded to a disc brake set up, and is already equipped with a good front shock that can be locked out. If you are going to do any trail riding at all, don't buy a totally rigid (no suspension) bike--is is the 21st century :)

I don't know about the rear brake, buy you could probably put a disc in front. Some bikes have a setup this way. I just don't know if it's worth it, a disc will cost aprox 100 bucks per disc, and you would need to change hubs, or new wheels. Probably 110 to 150 for a new wheelset, 80 bucks (probably 50 for specials) on some avid BB5 discs per set, would set you 250 for disc, on a 350 bike it's something to think about.

you will get greater helpful effects basically upgrading your V-brakes. perfect high quality v-brakes will paintings greater helpful than mechanical disc brakes at a fraction of the cost. a series of WHEELS, no longer rims will value a minimum of $a hundred and fifty, then you extremely've approximately that fairly greater for respectable mechanical disc brakes. you will be able to desire to enhance to perfect point high quality v-brakes for decrease than a million/3 that fee and enjoy lighter weight and huge brakes. I rather have 2 mountain motorcycles, one has v-brakes and the different has very reliable high quality hydraulic disc brakes. For all however the very worst muddy circumstances the v-brakes are basically as reliable as a results of fact the disc brakes. you're driving on roads and gravel surfaces. you do no longer desire disc brakes

I couldn't find a picture big enough, but the hubs are not disc compatible. You could get disc rims with the right kind of hubs. I need a big picture to determine if the frame is disc compatible.
