Believe me, many of us haven't forgotten. We Military families are all too familiar with the risk, separations and hardships that come from our loved ones defending our Country. More then once, my kids and I have had to watch as my husband, their father, is sent off into dangerous territory, and we're left home to just go about our lives and hope and pray he returns safely.
Our Military should be far more appreciated and respected then they are, and those that served before them deserve the same appreciation and respect.

I'm a democrat and no we have not forgotten. We support the troops by wanting them to come home. I feel that the "oil whores" here in America have our troops over there protecting their interests...aka...oil. This administration doesn't care if Iraq is a free country or not..i mean come on...thousands of people die in southern africa all the time, do we go down there to straighten things up? no...they are of no interest to us. And you can't say that we are over there b/c iraq was aiding the terrorists responsible for 9/11, we gave more money and weapons to the Taliban and Afghanistan during their stint with Russia than Iraq ever thought of giving. No, we haven't forgotten our boys and girls over their, and we thank the brave men and women whenever we get the chance. Thanks to volunteers like that we are a free country. But we also haven't forgotten the lies that have been forced down our throat by the current administration either.

yes... have you been over to spill any yet? patriot? or are you just standing over here on the sidelines riling up other people to do that? because then you're a warmonger, silly!
in that case, thank you for your service. my grandfather fought in ww2 and my grandmother built the bombers. i recognize the merit of their service and of yours. but no, i'm not right now. i don't think what we're doing is right. and the reason i don't is because it does not seem to be having the result of increasing stability or security. our war, i believe, inspired the war israel is now waging on lebanon. i listened to a woman speak from lebanon on the radio, and they are abandoning hope in diplomacy because the u.n. can't save them. i heard her speak of how their democracy was championed by our president (february 05) and question how now rice calls these birth pangs of that democracy.
the blood of patriots should be spent wisely if at all. freedom is always worth it, but is that what we've purchased with this war? we have sent the army into afghanistan and iraq already. when will it have to follow israel into this fray?
in ww2, we went to save the countries of europe from the dreams of one man who had sent his army into several other countries. how is this war similar? i can't make the comparison honestly unless i compare israel and germany. i cannot pretend that the side suffering the most horrific casualties and begging for mercy is the one we need to fight. and i cannot pretend that i wouldn't take to the streets with weapons if the united states was invaded. the narrative in iraq is identical to the narrative of red dawn...

To whom are you directing this question? Certainly not to those of us that have served or the family members who suffered the hardships of separation, at times, low pay, difficult living conditions and even the death of their family member(s). I'm pretty sure you are not directing your question at them. Thanks for the simple and direct question. I hope it gives those in our country a moment of pause when they bash the administration based on sound bites or emotion. Those who chastise the armed services or those that support them and the country. If I may add to you question......Have you forgotten that freedom is not free?

No. I totally agree..and no that doesn't make you a warmonger. I choose not to be a Muslim. I would rather fight now, than be kneeling later.
