I bought too many for my store, and they are not selling. I would freeze them for personal use, but unsure how they would turn out when thawed.

Hell ya you can..they are awesome. You just can't freeze them too long, after awhile in the freezer they start to taste like the freezer.

I wouldn't suggest freezing them. If you want to throw them in the freezer for about 45 minutes to an hour then yes that'd be okay but otherwise don't do it. Just refrigerate whatever you can and give away whatever else. Definitely don't freeze.

When someone orders something why don't you just say "hey you are our 100th customer of the day and you get a free moon pie...(people like free stuff, whether or not they like it or will eat it, it was FREE!! ESPECIALLY PEOPLE WITH KIDS) Say this to about every 10th customer... not only will you be getting people's attention for future business..(they will tell people that you give "free" stuff away, unexpectedly) but you will also be getting rid of moon pies that you will eventually throw away anyway. so it is a WIN WIN situation!!!!! good promotional stuff... build the business...

I'm sure the chocoalte coating will get weird when you try to thaw them... condensation and all.
Try freezing them, then dipping them in batter, deep-frying them, dusting w/ XXX sugar, and selling for $5 a pop. Works for Twinkies.

Moon pies are virtually indestructable. They'll be a primary food source for cockroaches after the nuclear holocaust.
Source: the moonpie that stayed on my dashboard for a year without changing shape or color.

You can refrigerate them for sure (I have for as long as several weeks), but not sure about freezing.
The way they're wrapped, Moon Pies stay pretty much fresh for a long time anyway.

i'm sure freezing couldn't be that bad for them, and the preservatives in a moon pie could probably keep that special flavor fresh for an aeon after it thawed.
i say try it.

They should be fine thawed. Especially if you like them later heated up like my family does.

You can freeze anything, but it may not taste good when it thaws.
