Ha! Many religions feel that others are false, untrue, or evil....Christians are just more viscious about it. The funny thing is that the bibles dates back so long, and yet there are countless religions that are dated back even further, not because somebod says it happened, but scientifically proven. Remnants have been found, relics, artifacts, etc, and this all shows not what religion is true or false, but which ones have really been around the longest. Why is it that so many religions have no record going back anywhere near as far back as their "doctrine" claims?

It's the thing to do. Throughout history there is always someone who comes along and insists that he has all the answers. How could you or anyone possibly know what God wants. How has he communicated this? Which of the 5000 or so different versions of the Bible would you choose as the right one? What makes you so sure that Mohamed wasn't suffering from some chemical imbalance when he saw the angel in the cave? I'm sure he was a very sincere person, sincerity doesn't make truth, facts make truth. Who saw any of the things written about in the holy books? A bunch of superstitious, ignorant peasants for the most part. This then becomes the basis for our religion, and of course, my religion is better than yours. My religion is the right one, because my (fill in the Blank) ---------------- told me so.

Try not to think of it so much as right and wrong, good and evil. Most religions are good.

It isn't about religion at all.

What do you think is the final goal of all religion? Is it so we all live together peacefully? Then take your pick.

I submit that the final goal of Christianity is to go to heaven when we die and live froever with God(and on the way, be good to each other).

The Bible says this about Jesus:

"Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."
Acts 4:12

No other name. Not Mohammed, not John Smith, not Vishna, not Buddha. Some of these leaders claimed enlightenment. But NONE of them ever claimed to be the way to heaven.

Jesus is absolutely unique in this. Every other religion in the world says that if you behave well enough, then YOU can earn "heaven" in whatever form they call it.

Christianity is the only religion where God says that HE will bring us into heaven.

Other religions are no more evil than they remove themselves from God. And no other religion will get you to heaven.

By definition only four or five true Religions exist. All the rest are cults and sects.

A revealed Religion is a belief system revealed by God that Man may worship Him. Unfortunately, too many of us (Christians included) mistake fellowship and prayer for Worship. True Worship also involves Sacrifice. This is why Catholics celebrate the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass where the offering is Christ Himself in the Consecrated Bread and Wine.

Unfortunately I am not too well versed in other (non-Christian) Religions. But I know that there are other great revealed Religions. We are not alone, but as St. Francis of Assisi said, "Whatever we call Him, there is but one God."

Christianity has the Bible. No other religion does except judaism has the Old Testament. The Bible says that any religion that is different from chrsitianity is wrong. All religions have gods. But none of them inspired a set of Scriptures and preserved them for humanity except the God of Christianity. Thats why all other religions are wrong.

Interesting point, could a religion exist without an omni-potent being, being involved? With all the hints and clues that Jesus makes about what God is, I can say that we are ignoring the idea that God may want us to be independant of his involvement and instruction. God is love, not God is a loving God, I and my father are one, not I do what my father tells me. Just two examples off the top of my head, that lead us away from thinking we have to obey God as if the end of our worlds were dependant on it. Oh and evil is live backwards, is that serendipidy or what.

Every religion thinks they are right. Where did you get the idea that christians are the only ones who think they are right?

Jesus said that he has sheep in many different folds. Some "religions" may have wrong ideas but if we read the Bible for ourselves the Holy Spirit will lead us into all truth.

Once a man finds his truth, he spends the rest of his life building a brick house around it to protect it from everyone else's truth.

Perhaps monotheists decided. Many polytheists do not believe in one "true" way to worship and accept the existance of other peoples deities (although they may not worship them).
