I am starting to brew my own beer, and I'm totally psyched about it. I was wondering if you have been brewing your own beer, what are some of the tips. Good items to have, good websites to buy supplies, or just good tricks of the trade. Thank you in advance.

I've been brewing for over eight years now. The two best things you can do is to join a homebrew club and enter homebrew competitions. This way, you can get your beers critiqued by those who know what they're talking.

Best tip is to keep everything sanitary. Also good to use a yeast starter, use glass fermenters, use a secondary fermenter, and write down notes.

Try www.midwestsupplies.com they sell just about everything you will ever need for brewing and their prices are very good.

Patience is important, ferment time for a normal strength beer

Wait 'till it stops bubbling COMPLETELY, before you stick a top on it. I invented the first beer of mass destruction, cos a mate of mine told me to wait till the bubbles, in the brew, were at about a second apart. KA.....BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM !!!!!!!!! It left bit's of glass in my kitchen cieling, for God's sake !!!!!!!!
