the hoses going into and out of the heater core are hot. A new thermostat has been installed and my AC is fine. I have tried checking the vent doors and they seem to be fine. Could there be air in a hose or an actuator on a vent that may be causing the issue? Any suggestions would be appreciated

The temp gauge is normal. The vehicle runs fine it just has no heat. Thanks for the suggestions!

Hmmm.. everything I was going to mention that you check.. you've already checked... next thing.. is to buy a Chilton's book on your car and follow the troubleshooting guide for the heater... the book points out things that you may NEVER think of yourself.

There's a chance you hooked the two water hoses up backwards or could also be that the cable that controls the water flow into the heater core didn't get reconnected. Could also be that you installed the thermostat backwards with the spring facing up, rather than down.

Sounds dumb, but I did the same thing myself a few years back. Man, was I P.O.'d!

If you're lucky, it's the thermostat, it's the easiest to fix.

There is a valve that controls water flow- maybe it's off. The AC doesn't flow past the hot heater core....there could be a blockage, etc...that was a big job...bring it back to the person who did the work. You could also have an air pocket in the system that would require bleeding. Does the templ gauge get hot?

I would start by running the engine with the radiator cap off and see if you get a air pocket released. Thats the easy step if that does not work I would follow all the other suggestions till you find the problem.

you have an actuator door thats not moving, especially if both hoses are hot. not sure if its an electrical actuator or manual but thats where i would look. if it is a manual door look for a misadjusted cable, the problem lies within the "blend air" door if everything else is working
