Yes, you can join the military if you have had hepatitis A. You get hepatitis A from food that has been contaminated with fecal matter. For example you go out to eat, the person preparing your food goes to the bathroom and never bothers to wash their hands and then touches your food. That is how the route of transmission is. Many people get this and often think they have the flu. Hepatitis A will not keep you from being in the military.

Yes. That type of hepatitis does not usually cause any permanent liver damage.

i believe nowadays there is no limitation pretty much to serve in the military but i may be wrong though
