I've answered a question like this before. There is no oral medication for warts. Over the counter stuff may work for people who get an occasional wart but for the most part, they don't work. My son has had them frozen and they kept coming back. By the way, freezing the warts on the cuticles is extremely painfull. The dermie used some type of acid on his arm that had to be accepted by the body in the form of a rash and after that happened, she put the acid on the warts. It took several treatments. He had to follow up with a cream called Aldera. Not sure about the spelling of that cream. It has worked well. It's not easy seeing your grandaughter go through this I know, Carol.
Hope you can use this advise.

assuming they are positively warts, they are harmless. they can be removed with medication or a doctor can freeze them off. the only downfall is this will leave slight scaring. eventually the warts will go away on their own (could take awhile). if they go away on their own there will be no scaring. if they are interfering with her normal activities , or if she is really insecure about them i would get them removed. if she is ok with them, they will go away. my son recently had some warts disappear after about 3 years. (took him to the doctor too, he told me all the above)
