It seems that Christians believe in Christianity when the religion of Christianity is obviously in conflict with the teachings of Jesus. Jesus never said worship me but he did say worship and serve God only! Jesus never said he was dying for the sins of mankind but he did say the world is wrong about righteousness because he is going to the father. Why dont Christians see the truth for themselves?

I believe that Jesus is the greatest of all the prophets because God raised him first from death. And also his teachings lead to true salvation.

Terry, I believe in everything Jesus said and belief in Jesus will lead to eternal life. Frankly I do not know you or care what you believe my basic point was that Christians listen to other Christians and not to Jesus whom they claim as a savior.

You obviously haven't read the whole Bible. John 3:16 says "God so loved the world that He gave His only Son so that whoever believes in Him may not be lost but have eternal life." What part of that says to you "You are evil - I'm taking my Son back"? To worship God in truth is to come to Him through His word and Jesus who said, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. The only way to the Father is through me" (John 14:6). God desires worship that is a true response to the truth made known by Jesus. I don't believe in "Christianity" - I believe in God, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. That makes me a Christian. Why are you so worried about my beliefs? I believe in the Word of the Lord - the Bible. If you don't believe in it, that's okay with me. I don't judge you - please don't judge and criticize my beliefs.

When Jesus said "worship and serve God only" he was also refering to himself. Jesus also said that he was the son of God. God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are the Trinity. They are all God, and God is them.
And p.s. Novagirl is being ridiculous. Try and ignore her. Also, remember that Christians are just every day people... As you can see by Novagirl's example--they're anything but perfect just like the rest of everybody else.

Jesus is just alright with me.
Human beings are gullible by nature. Religion often brings our most gullible side to the forefront as we are to have faith and drop our guard to an extent to participate.
Unfortunately this same human trait is often exploited by extremists and can lead one to do some pretty evil stuff in the name of God.

Rev 5:13 Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, singing: "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!"
Phil 2:10-11 10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
Bowing and praising are worship.... everything on earth will do it eventually, why not start today?

The Gospel of Mark (10:45) states unequivocally that Jesus died "as a ransom for many." I Peter 2:24 says, "In his own body, he brought your sins to the cross."
Matthew 1:21 "she will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins."
Psalms 79:9 "Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name; deliver us, and forgive our sins, for thy name's sake!"
Psalms 130:8 ".And he will redeem Israel from all his iniquities."
If this is not enough for you, I am sure that I can find more.

Christians probably appear gullible to people who do not know that, they do not know anything about God. I notice sometimes, (in postings or in person), that people who have not so pleasant things to say about Christians, are usually people who will not admit THEY don't understand. In an effort to make Christians look bad, non-Christians come up with mute points to make themselves appear intelligent.

Because the wisdom of God is the foolishness of men, for since through wisdom man rejected God, God chose to show his strength through foolishness and shame the wise of the earth.

Faith is only explainable to the faithful, and completely unfathomable to the ignorant. I'm sorry that you're jealous that we have the guts to stand for something, and that you're terrified of taking a stand that isn't popular or "cool" and being wrong.
