Hearns was a great fighter for his era, he won a lot of titles and possibility stayed a little too long in boxing.LaMotta was a great fighter, having 6 matches with Sugar Ray Robinson,he was the first to beat Ray.All of his fights with Ray were very close.I beleive that there was no match with LaMotta, Jake would have bulled his way thru Hearns and knocked him out in the 8th round or won a close unanimous decision.

LaMotta was a fighter who fought relentlessly and could take alot of punishment, by no means was he a knockout fighter (30 KO's in a 106 fights). Therefore Hearns would not have to worry about his suspect chin in this bout. I think Hearns takes HUGE advantage of his height and reach and pummels LaMotta from the outside and out boxes him (watch the Hearns/ Benitez jr. middleweight title fight from the early 80's, Hearns could box). Lamotta wears down as he did in the St. Valentine Day Massacre
and Hearns TKO's him in the 13th round.

LaMotta. For all of the Hitman's strength, he didn't have that extra umph to get him over the top. Sure he beat some great fighters but in the biggest fights of his life, he wilted under the pressure and was knocked out, Leonard and Hagler. LaMotta, from what I've heard, fought like he was two Haglers. LaMotta would brutalize the Hitman into submission by the 5th round.

interesting....hearns had that freakish power that starched duran like no one would've ever even dreamed he could've been starched. i'd take the motor city cobra in a shockingly early blowout, like between rounds 1-3....or the bull to rage by, say, the fifth round onwards. he definitely would've caught hearns later and demolished him easily...hearns' chin was always suspect, many power hitters have this problem~

One time I snorted some pop rocks and they were crackin' in my head and my buddy was laughin' at me like mad and I was floppin' all over the place with pop rocks poppin' in my brain. Also, I like to rub mayo all over my body and sprinkle sunflower seeds on myself and flop in the yard and wait for the ants to come. Then I get up and shave my legs after I've been devoured by the army of ants. It's exhilarating!
P.S. Robert DeNiro and Jaime Foxx would win best actors if they made a movie about it.
