I am a professional cosmetologist. The best thing out there right know is a product called Nioxin. There is a shampoo and conditioner . There is also a product called NX3 that you apply directly to the thinning areas. This is also a Nioxin product. It will grow hair back within 4-6 weeks. Not necessaraly thick hair, but you will start to see peach fuzz. Then by using it more and more the hair will grow back thicker. Nioxin is a product that is made for the skin first and then hair second. When a person has thinning hair it is usually a scalp problem first. Take care of the scalp and you take care of your hair. I hope this helps. You can get Nioxin at most hair salons.

As much as I would like to believe that any shampoo works on thinning hair- it don't! The only thing that works is rogain ( a growth stimulant) , and or propecia, or a dht inhibitor, for men.
For women there are other things to try, however none have remarkable results.

I was losing a lot of my hair on the left side of my head. I started to find a solution to my problem and bought a shampoo that would help me with my problem which did not help me much finally I , found a shampoo that was new to the market which is called Cabellina with pepper and rosemary which are natural extracts, I even bought the conditioner and it seems to be working for me. I bought this shampoo at walmart super center. I hope that this helps you with your problem.
