I use to work at a place and was quite attracted to my foreman. He had let me know in numerous ways and on many occassions that he too was quite attracted to me as well. Both of us adults, both single. Although he always stood by the fact nothing could or would ever happend due to the fact he was my foreman "we worked together". So dealing with the mixed signals was quite hard.
Now I no longer work there, and have attempted once or twice to contact him, but haven't done so. Should I persue this or not?
He told me point blank he felt the same things, and liked this or that. He's even allowed me to inadvertantly touch him "rub his back or something like that" and he's purposely accidentally brushed up against my chest, and such. I was absolutely crazy about him, but he got a bit upset when I quit my job. So I don't know, what do you all think? I know he mentioned before he didn't think I was ready "as I lost my boyfriend of 3 years to a heart attack" before I met this guy.

He's divorced. Been married once, has 1 son "grown and away from home" Has always told me he doesn't have a girlfriend.

Actually I quit not so that I could be with him, But so that I wouldn't have to see him every day, because I had so much attraction. I would do find not thinking about him as long as I didn't have to see him, "which would be days at a time even when we worked together" Now I have not seen him at all since I left going on 2 months now. He had several people ask was he and I dating, and he always said NO, he dont' get involved with people at work, "been there done that and it always turns out bad" He has even denied attraction to me, "the boss knew about me liking him and said that was between he and I we could do what we wanted" So work "as far as the boss was concerned was no problem". However, he would loan me something like his trailer to move things of my niece's and he would bring it to me and come back and pick it up. He's always shown ME his attraction, but hides it from others????????

Sounds like mutual understanding more so than mix signals. I think he being the foreman was wise to restrain his-self in a professional business matter. However; now that you are no longer employed at the company take a chance. The only reason why he was upset that you quit; was because he knew how much he would miss you. It probably brought him great satisfaction to be able to see you everyday at work.

Make the call and see how things are going with him. Its sounds as if you heart has healed from your old boyfriend. If you make an effort; I'm sure he'll break down the door, just to see you face. I'm thinking of the song from Diana and The Supreme: "Ain't no mountain high enough; ain't no valley low enough; ain't no river wide enough to keep me from you". Go with your heart!

You alone will make the choice of contacting him or not. You a lone know the feelings you feel about this guy, i just hope you use your head and make sure you know his history. For some reason you didn't mention of him having a wife and kids, or some long time partner in his life.

I agree with him and you for not letting the chemistry between you two at work, ruin your professional image. As some companies and firms are strict about employees having relationships depending on the nature of the work, and so many other reasons.

Some how i get the gut feelings that you may have quit your job, so that you can start a relationship with him. As you no longer work there so the rules don't apply to you.

It is up to you to make the decision to be with him or not as it must have been some time since you were touched by a man, not to mention fulfilling intimacy with a real lover and not some one night stand affair. You lost your boyfriend as you mention as a result of a heart attack.

Men are truly the worse species to figure out. It sounds like the guy really digs you a lot, but has ties some where else like a girlfriend, or some other type commitment in his life like children. Go back to the job site and ask him face to face so you can either make this relationship happen or move on. Perhaps he has been hurt by females in the past and fears it could happen again. Losing your boyfriends 3 months ago could make him feel like he's just rebound. Good Luck :)

I think it's definitely worth talking to him about it. Give him a call, and see if you can get together for lunch to chat, reminisce about old times working together, and to do some catching up. I'd suggest lunch, because it's not as meaning-laden as asking someone out for dinner; it allows the conversation to be lighthearted with no social expectations around it, in case it turns out things don't click, or he's not interested anymore. If it *does* turn out he's still interested, you can follow up with dinner, or more traditional dating activities. Keep the topics at lunch friendly, talking about what's happened since you left work, and see if he still seems interested. If he does, then you can ask more directly about how he reacted to you quitting, and how things were going before that, and whether he's still interested in continuing in that direction. But if he doesn't seem interested, you can keep the conversation focused on work and other things, and not worry about the situation turning awkward.

But definitely give it a shot; otherwise you won't know, and you'll always be wondering. It's better to ask and find out bad news and move on then to keep lingering and wondering--believe me!

nicely, he appears like he's treating his female pal the way he ought to with the aid of putting her first. in case you have been his female pal the place would you choose to be in line? Having doubts in his relationship along with her is likewise primary. every person has doubts now and then. He spoke with a chum approximately it. yet, he did no longer talk to you approximately it nicely suited? From what you have mentioned i do no longer see how he has taken care of you as something extra desirable than a chum. although, he pursued you to start with. So he became into for sure involved in you faster or later. in case you fairly have deeper emotions for this guy and you're no longer in basic terms feeling jealous that he's giving somebody else interest rather of you and/or your in simple terms having a lonely 2d. Then i'd propose which you take a seat and tell him the form you experience. verify you're constructive that your emotions are organic first. as a results of fact he appears like a great pal and that i'm particular you do no longer decide to lose that comradeship. i think of your over questioning this too a lot. do no longer project approximately indicators that he's or isn't into you. in the journey that your into him you should enable him comprehend. in the journey that your easy and actual to your self what's the worst it is going to take place?

Don't give it another thought. He was merely a passing fancy that should never be. First of all, he was your boss. Next, he allowed you to "rub" on him. I can only imagine his pleasure at that. Thirdly, he has already expressed that nothing will ever happen. Don't sink yourself into his self absorbed hole. There are not enough good looks or charm to compensate for his breach in being your superior, and I only mean that in the job context of the terms. Get over it....and run.
