Does anyone know how to start a career as an insuranceadjuster? A friend of mine wants to get involved in this work and doesn't not know how to get started. Please Help!

I'm an insurance adjuster.
What your friend needs to do is apply for a position at a local insurance claims office. Make sure he has a resume provided and the standard information to fill out an application like references, education (most are looking for at least a college education).
Look up an insurance company in the phone book and contact them or an agent to find out where the claims office is located.
There are three specialties he needs to apply for:
1. Liability (mainly injury claims)
2. Auto Property Damage (repairs and total loss of autos)
3. Property (home owners claims and rental property claims)
I work in liability claims and have to decide coverage, fault, and damages or injuries and then negotiate with them directly or with their attorney. You have to be aware of medical and legal terms and be very organized and time efficient. I enjoy it but it is very stressful at times. Never a dull moment.

If you are in the USA, then the larger companies have pretty good training. State Farm, Farmers, Crawford & Co and many others have good training programs. They all want college educatons as I understand it. They will do a background check on the potential employee (do they have a criminal history, what's their credit like), and some of them will test for apptitude (can he do math, spell, stuff like that).
Contact the major insurance carriers in your area, find out what they require, and when they are accepting applicaitons.
