I hate sweet, syruppy drinks like Southern Comfort, but Maker's Mark Bourbon is about the smoothest I've ever had. No burn going down. Excellent straight up or on the rocks with just a splash of water.

Whiskeys go down the best, but i'd have to say that Vodka is the best tasting alcohol when taken straight

Ice cold Grey Goose Vodka or Stolichnaya on the rocks. If its cold enough, it tastes like water when sipping.
