i think you deserve a medal for saying this. i am so glad there is at least one Christian out there who sees how idiotic the others are. the fact that christians study a book that contains a story that illustrates hypocrisy (thrown out of the temple by Jesus) is a mind-boggling recursive irony that i will NEVER understand.
thanks

This is a very broad statement and I do not believe that all the people in America have this hate towards Muslims.
If you make a statement like this - at least do some research.
Media is not the people of the land, they only run stories to make money and report things that make you sit up and take notice. Essentially, if you looked in to the history of the USA you would find that because of their ancestory they are very religious, moral and accepting of all cultures.
You can not make such a statement without asking yourself why do the Muslims hate the Western World so much - is it that they do not want to evolve ?
You are right when you say that every Religion has been in the spotlight for doing evil things, but this is in the past. We dont live in the past we live in the present and we continually try to become better people.
Any culture that has hate in it , brought on by their religious fervour is doomed to extinction and although we may not be around to see it - this is the way of the future. Goodness and peace will prevail.
How can you even consider that we are terrorists - by we, I mean, all Christian minded people whether they live in the US or elsewhere.

The people in America are relating back to 9/11, when Muslim suicide bombers crashed into the Trade Center, killing thousands of innocent people. Also, the war in Iraq hasn't helped matters. I realize it's unfair for people to hate all Muslims for the deeds of the terrorists, but I don't think it's hate as much as it's fear of what terrorists might do next.
There are good and bad in all races and religions. Practically every ethnic groups has been a target of hate at one time or another, as you point out. It's important to judge each person on his or her own merits, rather than as a member of a certain race or religion. Christians, incidentally, are not perfect. They are just as vulnerable to display prejudice as anyone else. Not all Christians, unfortunately, live by God's grace.

There is good and bad in all religions. Because there is good and bad people.
We are all given free will. What makes people feel that way is the fact that most terrorists at this time is Muslim.
They are rapidly becoming disliked because of a few radicals.
Just as Christians have carried on war and done some pretty brutal things. Soon now the world community is going to retaliate and try to stop the terrorists attacks.
First comes fear, then comes hate then comes retaliation.
and it will be ugly.

It is not the people to be blamed for it totally. It is the whole system; brainwashing. There is not real democracy in US. The Hollywood newspapers and televisions are controlled by oligarchs. The system needs an enemy to sell weapons, to exploit oil rich areas and they need a good excuse to be able to do it in practice. Thanks to September 11. How many people died on 9/11 ?. 1000s more have been dying in Muslim countries directly because of American policies for many years. Are they like bugs for Americans? Imperialism always needs an enemy and they always abuse religion or nationalism. Until recently the enemy was communism. Once it was Jews. Now they are "Muslims". (Not even fundamentalists anymore).
When one of best ally of US in the region is Saudi Arabia, where women are not even allowed to drive cars, they invaded Iraq for bringing democracy ! If not all, many Americans believe in this story. That is so, so sad !

I dont hate Muslims since its not a requirement for them to be suicide bombers to be Muslim. I dont like suicide bombers under any title you put them. I dont have a problem knowing our belief system is different. Just about everyones belief system is different than mine, but I dont like knowing in their belief system that unless Im a Muslim I should be destroyed. Now being a Christian, I dont believe that Islam is the right way to God obviously, but Nowhere did Jesus say I had any right to kill them or send them to hell. Im not an athority on the Qu'ran by any means but some Muslims have told me that it says to destroy Jews and "People of the Book" if they do not submit to Islam. I think thats why maybe there's so much friction. Sometimes I, and probably others who have been told this, think that when talking with a Muslim they are thinking "If I cant convert this guy, Allah wants me to kill him" if that really isnt the case, then PLEASE dispell the myth and dispell it FAST.

It is about perception. I understand that in America church and state are two different entities whereas in some Muslim countries the law is based on religion. For example in Iran a woman can be executed for 'sins against chastity'.
If a woman is raped, she must produce 4 independent (male) witnesses to be believed in a court of law.
I think that people are afraid that when Muslims become the majority then they will change the laws and everybody will need to conform to Islamic law.

First, let me state that no, not all religions have been in the spotlight for doing evil things.
It seems that only the three Abrahamic faiths--Judaism, Christianity, and Islam--are violent and evil, especially as practiced by their fundamentalists.
The flaw is in the mandate that each one is the only true religion, each one tells its adherents to conquer the earth, and each one disparages and preaches hate against anyone who is not of the one, true faith. (Sound familiar, yet?)
The ironic part of this is that all three are basically the same in almost all respects. If all three could drop the mutually exclusive clause, then progress might be made.
Otherwise, it'll take exposing all of them as frauds to get people to come to their senses.

I don't hate Muslims. I've heard many many sources say that Islam is a peaceful religion, but some extremists are the ones killing people. After hearing some recent statements saying that all Muslims have or should declare Jihad on all non-Muslims...........I'm sorry, but I don't know what to believe anymore. I still don't hate them, but I don't really trust them much either.

Because there are a lot of people here generalize and put everyone into groups with stereotypes. They don't bother to educate themselves on other cultures or religions. If they took the time to get to know the individual or the culture they might feel a little differently about things.
