Are they REALLY, TRULY wireless? Also, is there any difference in sound quality between wireless and non-wireless speakers?

Even a truly wireless system has to be powered. They usually take batteries to do that. The technology is pretty good but when comparing price points, you will always get a better sound from a wired system. Even with the most expensive wireless system, you will run the risk of interference.

If you need to hide the wire, try going thru the wall or under your carpet.

Most of these "wireless speakers" arent 100% wireless. But, some are. Some run on batteries, ussually several batteries. But the other so called "wireless speakers" have to be plugged into an AC outlet in the wall, thats not wireless! Bose made a wireless surround sound system, it goes for around $799

Techology is not quite available to get a wireless speaker to perform as well as a wired speaker.

Try doing an internet search, and perhaps you may be able to find what you're looking for...
