Some one in my office mentioned wisconsin was planning something like this but i cant find any news about it.

It might depend on what service you are in, like the Guard , Reserve or Regular Army programs....for example, in Illinois, the state offers the IVG (Illinois Vetrans Grant) which is 4 academic years of college, tuition free to any state school, but you have to have served at least one year active duty in order to qualify. I think the Wisconsin Guard offers a similar program. You might contact the VA rep in your area.

I added a VA link, to the education section, there should be a 1-800 number on the site. They are usually up-to-date on that kind of information. Also another resource would be to ask a local recruiter, because they would use that kind of information as a selling tool to get new recruits to join.
