Yes, yes it is.
First we warn them not to make the stupid blunder. Then when they make the stupid blunder they accuse us of being the problem and say we are glad that it all went awry.
Its the kind of pretzel logic that gets them into these situations in the first place.

No, it is because you peaceniks seem to think that the US is responsible for the war on terror, when in fact it is the terrorists that existed since the 1970s that are responsible. You have never recognized that terrorists are the enemy and that terrorists are found everywhere in the middle east. You have also never recognized that Iran and Iraq have been terristic regimes ever since the 1970s. You seem to think there was world peace before we went into Iraq and that Iraq was a peaceful place. You have also never recognized that war was our last resort and we were negotiating with Iraq since the 1980s with sanctions and other political means. You seem to think that we all of a sudden decided to attack without any probable cause. You have aslo never recognized that WMD's was only one of the many reason's we went in, as you think it is the only reason we went in. You also never have recognized that the fundamentalistic muslim religion found throughout the middle east would easily eradicate the US if it could and is persuing those means right as we speak. The only thing the peaceniks do that is right is remind us that war is bad, which we ALL agree, but you peaceniks seem to think that we love war. Talk about deluding yourself. We are trying to save the US from highly probable immenent attack. If what we say will happen if we didn't go to war happens you would not even be able to type that question. <2 points anyways>

Well I am a conservative and I don't hate "peaceniks".... I actually prefer peace. But if I recall the events that sent me into both Afghanistan and Iraq.... Congress and the House both voted to go in. Yes, we all know the whole flawed intelligence thing. But that was the same sources that Bill Clinton had used and had the same flawed information.
When it comes to politics, it seems everyone looks to align themselves with a "party line" and use thier talking points.... I prefer to develop my own. I don't adhere to party lines... I am an independant thinker. I don't have to agree with any one party line. But when you use the add on comment of "we said we shouldn't go into Iraq because it would be a quagmire of hatred and insanity, we were right." You are placing yourself within a party line.
If you want to see the Government actually unify towards a common goal.... try staying clear of partyline "BS" and side with your own thoughts and ideas. Take the time to look at the bigger picture and develop logical and sustainable arguements. That will help end some of the hatred you speak of.

Many of these so called conservatives are War mongers because it is profitable for them.
That is the reason the USA was in south east asia for a decade.
Think about it if the USA could take on not one but two super powers ,Germany and Japan, and win a major war in a span of less than 5 years why couldn't they beat a small poor country.
Korean conflict came to a stalemate in four years. Why did Vietnam drag on for more than ten years?
The answer is they did not want the war to end. There was too much profit in war. No bid contracts, sweat heart deals in which weapons manufacturers sold weapons that where failure prone and could not funtion in the conditions without constant maintenance.
These so called christian conservatives where planning a war even before they got in office.
It is rumored that they had already decided how to divide up Iraq even before the war in Afghanistan.
They are like any thug they hate anyone who opposes them and that is just another reason for them to fight you,
You want resolution of conflict without violence and they want violence as long as they do not have to do any of the physical stuff.
They are bitter because you may have shown there "dark side" .
To deflect criticism from them they use an old propaganda trick 'kill the messanger' or discredit discent.
They really feel they can do no wrong because God is on there side.
God is also on the other side.
I think God likes seeing wars,
Maybe he likes calling the little kids or parents 'home' early.
Maybe he just likes violence and wants to see the killing fields.
For what ever reason God seems to be involved in a lot of wars.
The christian conservatives not only started this but have whole heartily backed the president all the way.
These wars are about money and nothing else but money. Not oil except how much money they can make , Not terrorism [they had several chances to catch Osama Bin Laden but didn't]
One mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter.
They like war it makes them rich.
Just because I think there is a conspiracy doesn't mean there isn't one

I think conservatives are unhappy with the "peaceniks" because the "peaceniks" don't understand (or refuse to understand) why we went into Iraq in the first place.
Now there was no direct link between Iraq & 9/11 and I am not arguing that. The Bush administration in response to 9/11 adopted a policy (first mentioned in his 9/12 speech to congress) that either "you are with us or you are against us." It was his intention to demonstrate to the world that we would not tolerate any nation which supported terrorism. Hussein was the most blatant example available after Afghanistan. The Bush administration wanted to start an end to terrorism by punishing nations which support it. In my opinion it is the failure of the rest of the world to get behind this policy which encouraged Iran & Syria to continue supporting Hezbollah directly leading to the current crisis in the mid-east.
The conservatives dislike the "peaceniks" because the "peaceniks" by refusing to treat the causes of war are perpetuating it.

I'm a Democrat. I did not vote for Bush (either time), and I did not support the Iraq invasion.
Also, I realize that you're just baiting these people, but I'll go ahead and try to explain.
They hate you because they think that you are hurting the country by not supporting the war. By not supporting the war, you are creating pressure on our politicians to end the war. The bad guys know this, so they will continue fighting hard so that you will continue with your pressure to end the war and force the politicians to pull out. Thus, you are creating the incentive that motivates the bad guys to make headlines, and that makes you unpatriotic.
Of course, this line of reasoning begs the question of what do you do when we should get out of a war? How do we voice the need to pull out of the war? How long do we wait? 5,000 dead Americans? 20,000 dead Americans? 50,000 like Vietnam? No limit?
This is a difficult issue, and a lot of lives are at stake. Somehow, we need to resolve this problem as quickly as possible.

No, it's because everything WE said would happen DID happen, and peacenicks keep denying this fact. The communists took over Indochina, and inspired red armies throughout the globe to wage similar wars, which proves that the domino theory was right, not wrong. Jihadists went on rampages after we pulled out of Lebanon, and Somalia, and will do so again if we pull out of Iraq.
Actually, Will B said it better than I did.

It seemed that all you peace lovers loved everyone but the soldiers who are in peril. I don't care who's right but you people make me want to puke. Go choke on your chicken footprint.
