Question for Muslims?

Question

Do all Muslim men think woman are inferior? Do u love ur wives or do u see them as property? Serious question.

not kidding u at all, i read this in one of the other questions.

i'm a muslim and i live in Turkey(which has a 99% muslim population)
I love my girlfriend more than my life and we don't get 4 wives here(i wouldn't even if i could).
She is not walking in streets with closed dresses.She wears whatever she likes.
We are equal by the laws of my country.
Women have every right equal to men.
We respect women.We respect our moms and wives and any other women.
Our prime minister was an elected woman once.
We don't see them as property that's nonsense.
Well i can make this much longer but i think that's enough.

Let me ask you why would so many women convert to Islam if they were treated so inferior or like 'property'. If you look at the stats there are more women converts than men. The ratio is 4 women convert out of every man. 4:1.

If you want to know what the religion teaches just read this verse:

"Mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verily, the most honorable of you in the Sight of Allah is the believer who has Taqwa (i.e. piety and righteousness)and loves Allah most. Verily, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware."

In Islam, the role of a man and woman is complimentary, it is not conflicting,It is that of a partnership,it is not contradictory. Allah S.W.T created men and women equal but opposite.There are some things that men can do better and there are some things women can do better,for eg: 2 students have equal intelligence and sat an exam and gave 4 subjects math biology chemistry and physics,Student A got 100 in biology,95 in chemistry 90 in physics and 92 in maths.Student B got 95 in biology,100 in physics,92 in chemistry and 90 in maths.Overall both of them have same percentage.And islam is the first religion in the world which uplifted women let me give you a picture of the preislamic world.Women in earlier civilizations were very low to the extent that they were denied basic human dignity:
a. Babylonian Civilization:
The women were degraded and were denied all rights under the Babylonian law. If a man murdered a woman, instead of him being punished, his wife was put to death.
b. Greek Civilization:
Greek Civilization is considered the most glorious of all ancient civilizations.Under this very ‘glorious’ system, women were deprived of all rights and were looked down upon. In Greek mythology, an ‘imaginary woman’ called‘Pandora’ is the root cause of misfortune of human beings. The Greeks considered women to be subhuman and inferior to men. Though chastity of women was precious, and women were held in high esteem, the Greeks were later overwhelmed by ego and sexual perversions. Prostitution became a regular practice amongst all classes of Greek society.
c. Roman Civilization:
When Roman Civilization was at the zenith of its ‘glory’, a man even had the right to take the life of his wife. Prostitution and nudity were common amongst the Romans.
d. Egyptian Civilization:
The Egyptian considered women evil and as a sign of a devil.
e. Pre-Islamic Arabia:
Before Islam spread in Arabia, the Arabs looked down upon women and very often when a female child was born, she was buried alive.
No offence to any one but even christianty showed little support for women., if you read Genesis, Ch. 3, only Eve is held responsible (May peace be upon her) for the downfall of humanity. And according to the doctrine of ‘Original Sin’, because of Eve (may peace be upon her) the whole of humanity is born in sin.If you read the Bible in Genesis, Ch. 3, Verse No.16, it states that the God of… ‘the Bible’ it is saying ‘Unto the woman you shall bear in conception and in sorrow shall you give birth and your desire shall be of your husband and he shall rule over you’.
Again i dont mean to offend any one.These are the facts thats all.

I being a muslim, personally dont consider woman as inferior. i am not a married, but i think , if Inshallah I follow the commandments of Islam, then i would be one of the best husbands.

As far as I know only Osama and Fiends (10-30% of the Muslim World) believes in that kind of horsesh*t. Thats whats gonna happen to the whole world when Osama's evil Islamic empire becomes a reality.

In Qur'an "Whoever does good whether male or female and he is a believer, We will most certainly make him live a happy life, and We will most certainly give them their reward for the best of what they did." (16:97)

"If any do deeds of righteousness,- be they male or female - and have faith, they will enter Heaven, and not the least injustice will be done to them." (4:124)

"The Believers, men and women, are protectors one of another: they enjoin what is just, and forbid what is evil..." (9:71)

I'm not married yet, but Inshallah when I marry I will try my best to be a good husband and I won't consider my wife inferior to me.

women are equal and have the same rights as men in Islam. It is in culture things get mixed up.

As a Muslim woman I and equal to my husband, I am respected and not seen as a servent to men, original sin never made since to me why blame it on Eve. Adam and Eve were both wrong to themselves not God.

O Humankind, fear your Lord who created you from a single soul; and created from it its mate and from them twain scttered (like seeds) countless men and women. Fear Allah, through who you demand your mutual rights and be heedful of the wombs (that6 bore you) for Allah ever watches over you. (4:1)

Men are to take care of women. My money is my money and his money is my money he can not touch my money

And in no wise covet those things in which Allah has bestowed His gifts more freely on some of you than on others. To men is allotted what they earn and to women what they earn (4:32)

I have two BA's in Psychology and History and working on a PhD in History. Every is equal.

Women are compensated for work because how much we do in the house.

My husband treats me like gold. All my friends and my sister are jealous. there's exceptions to every thing though. The media only shows the negative side of everything. The rate of abuse rate is the same in any middle eastern country as it is here. American women as I see it have too much pride to report it. I was raised christian and my momma was abused for 11 years by my father and it only stopped when he left her for another woman.

I see women as smart intulectual human beings they are no better or worse then me. People think that just because a woman covers her head or covers her whole body is because they are forced.
