What do you think about it? Should the government crack down on drunken behaviour, since it causes people to do a lot of things they wouldn't do if they were sober?
I live in a state where it is now illegal to serve alcohol to people who are drunk or pregnant.
It's a good idea. We need people with more compassion and wisdom than others to protect the masses from themselves.
Getting drunk has NEVER solved any problems - if anything it makes them worse.
If I was in political power I'd impose a three strikes fine of $100,000 for drunkeness followed by minimum 10 years jail if the guilty parties are too stupid to learn.

I will start by saying I don't drink anymore. But when I did I seen a car accident across the streat from my house,I told my mom to call the cops and I went out to help.Nobody was injured but the driver took off running,I was walking back across the streat to my house and the police stoped me.I told them what I seen and the driver took off.I was drunk so I went to jail for public intoxication.Which was fine I know I was in public but I was 20 ft from my front door.I don't think I should have been arrested for trying to help but they had to get somebody. And for the private drunkenness you talking about if I am in my yard you need to mind your own damn buisness.
