Women and girls who have sex before marriage already proved what they are----the only thing left to discuss is the price.

A place to live?
Food?
Provide a car?
Take care of your illegitimate children?

Lets get down to it.
After reading many of your posts and having a good belly laugh I took into consideration you have not had your medication today.
I would suggest you stop using the computer and find one of those nice people in the white uniforms and go ask them to up your dose.

Then when you are done go sit in the corner and talk to your self until you get it out of your system, then delete your account and stop spewing your crap all over the Internet.

My price is that he loves, respects, and is committed to me more than he is committed to some old, outdated institution. I'm also "paid" with my own self-worth and earning power and a very successful career.

The problem is that marriage isn't about love or respect. It's about dependence. Marriage was created so that the partners can specialize in different things: one partner provides for financial resources for the family while the other provides for the emotional side of things. Marriage is there to protect the non-income earner from things that the income earning might do because the non-income earner's input to the relationship is very non-tangible. And, the government charges for such protection. (I've been keeping tabs on the marriage penalty.)

These days, however, things don't work that way. Now that women have real choices, we can choose to work instead of raise children. My own talents lie in the career side of things, not in the nurturing side, so that's what I've chosen to do, and I'm very good at it. I don't need the government to protect me by giving me half his assets if we split up because I have my own. And in forgoing this protection from the government (which I don't need anyways), it means that he doesn't have a claim to half my assets if we split up either. (We make about the same overall, but sometimes, I make slightly more, and sometimes, he makes slightly more.) We don't plan to split up, but neither do the 50% of the marriages that end in divorce. Marriage doesn't imply anything about love, respect, or commitment.

Furthermore, marriage is about society and extended friends and family. One of the prices of marriage is that, by getting married, people have obligations to their in-laws. I love and cherish my partner, not his family. I also don't want my parents to get their claws into my partner. I don't want to expose him to being my parents' son-in-law. I don't want to play in such socially-expected games with the extended family.

So, you're right that it's a matter of cost. Marriage simply costs me too much in my independence and in expected obligation to our parents. There's too much money and politics and other random stuff involved in marriage. If marriage were only about love, respect, and commitment, my partner and I would be married in a heartbeat because _that_ is what my price is.

A house or apartment @ 1100 a month, Food for three @ 200.00 weekly, Car payment @ 150-200 dollars a month. 1/3 of income. The plain facts......Good Luck

wow....you sound like your jealous of them. I'd have to say you can't put a price on what you're asking. Just because they have sex before they are married doesn't mean anything needs a price on it.
