Yeah i'd have to totally agree....the whole fryers are terrible - I dont know if you can even call their meat..."Meat". Does anyone remember mystery meat from school? Yea well that would be Walmart brand!

DON'T SHOP AT WALMART!!! That's their problem.. a big, cheap corporation who could care less about the customer. I would never consider buying any kind of food at Walmart to be honest. But then again, I dopn't shop in Walmart at all. But in their defense... it wasn't just Walmart selling the bad meat. And they should have refunded your money no questions asked. I'd almost want to report them to better business, or some appropriate agency. Lesson learned, right?

Dear "Thin". If WalMart meat is "Real Meat", then cows must be elastic. Just gave their "hamburger" (the 80-20 kind) another try, and it actually STRETCHES when cooked. I was afraid to drop it on the floor for the dog, because I was afraid it would start bouncing like "Flubber". Bought it in the tube this time, because the stuff you can see has always tasted like crap-ola, but the tube burger is just as bad. Like the other smart people said here, I'll keep going to Kroger or the meat markets for "real meat", and leave the "freshest" WalMart meat for youuuuuu. I see your comment was 8 years ago. Well the problem is still real today, I assure you.

No I never by Walmart meat. Packaging is too large for what I want. Also I think it is pretty pricey.

I had a pork roast one time that was spoiled... I did them a favor and only brought in the wrapper, double-bagged in a zipper bag, and demanded a refund. The Customer Service (cough!) gal didn't want to give me my money, so I had her call the Grocery mgr. Hee was VERY quick to give it back. Maybe it was me threatening to unleash the major-league funk in their store by opening the baggies, I dunno....>:-]
I like the fact that their meat is not touched by their employees, but is packaged in a USDA-inspected plant. The groudn beef is a little weird, but the porck chops or roasts are usually just fine.

Walmart used actual butchers but when they lost a court ruling that allowed the butchers to unionize they fired every single one of them across the country rather than allow a single union member in their stores.
