The Jews. Their leaders cruelly mistreated him and finally had him killed. The Jews even said: "We have no King, but Caesar." (John 19:15) This resulted in God’s casting off the Jewish nation as his chosen people and the destruction of their city Jerusalem with its temple, in 70 C.E., at the hands of the Roman armies.
But the treatment that they gave Jesus Christ was not enough for the opposing Jews. Prior to the destruction of Jerusalem, they also shamefully mistreated those whom Christ sent as ambassadors, his anointed disciples, killing many of them. (2 Cor. 5:20) Though the people were incited to participate in these atrocities, the Jewish religious leaders were primarily to blame, because they deliberately kept the people in ignorance of God. Jesus told them: “You took away the key of knowledge; you yourselves did not go in, and those going in you hindered!” (Luke 11:52) These leaders were selfishly afraid of losing their position of power. They said among themselves: “If we let [Jesus] alone this way, they will all put faith in him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and our nation.”—John 11:48.

No one did.
You cannot kill CHRIST.
Christ means ANNOINTED...and is the part of His name which signifies Him as being God's chosen Messiah.
Jesus, the flesh & blood man, was the one who was killed.
It was part of God's plan.
He was not just killed. He was also tortured.
He also became sin.
Then He died.
Only the flesh died. Not God.
God cannot die.
It was His death in the flesh that conquered the flesh for us.
When we accept Christ, we also die to our flesh.
Our fleshly desires die.
The Jews did not kill Jesus.
The Romans did not kill Jesus.
God just allowed it to happen.
That's all.
It's not as important as His Resurrection.
For if He had not risen, then His death would have been in vain.
It's the Resurrection that gives us enteral life.

'isoar4jc' is also correct.

Saying that sin did it is also correct. You could say that we all killed Him. But it was Him that did it for us.
He had complete power over all things. He could have stopped the crucifixion any time He wanted. But He loved us too much.

All those who sin. "For all have sined and come short of the Glory of God" Romans 3:23 But more specifically the Jews asked the Romans who ruled over them at that time to kill Jesus and the Romans did it.

It really isn't a matter of "who" killed Christ, but "what" killed him.

For that, the answer is sin. If you still want to know "who" did, then the only correct answer would be sinners.

The Romans did. Therefore, you should blame all Italians and the Pope for the death of Christ.
