Not that I know of......although some people can't wear contacts just because their eyes are extra sensitive.

I wouldn't call it dangerous but one negative about contacts is that they can really dry out your eyes. It's nothing eye drops can't solve though.

One other problem that I have heard of.....if you do not clean your contacts properly or you use the disposable ones for too long you CAN hurt your eyes (it feels/looks like you've got pink eye). I've known this to happen to people before....but it's not life threatening or anything and after seeing an eye doctor, they willl tell you to not wear your contacts for a while. That's all.

So if you can take care of your contacts, it shouldn't be dangerous.

Eye Contacts are made to be cleaned and only last two weeks a pair. They are not dangerous. Be sure to wash your hands and let them soak in solution over night. Do not sleep with them in because your eyes will hurt. Also, at first you may need eye drops because they can dry out your eyes. And...they don't fall out in the shower!

The only time eye contacts are dangerous is when you don't take them off before sleeping and not cleaning them properly. This can cause you to get an eye infection. When not treated, the eye infection can cause complications.

maybe not for many... I guess it depends on what kind of contacts you get and how long you keep them in. I had a pair of contacts years ago before the new breathable ones came into their own and picked up a pretty bad eye infection... I've decided that they are not for me... but as long as you follow all the directions... clean them regularly and changed them when needed you should be okay.

They're not dangerous as long as you use them properly. That means not wearing them for more than 10 hours at a time or wearing them to sleep. Also, you have to make sure that if you have the disposable ones you're throwing them away when you're supposed to. If your doctor says to change them every two weeks then make sure you change to new ones every two weeks.

Depends on whether you are making eye contact with a dog or a member of the opposite sex.

No, not at all. They have been approved by the FDA or they would not have been released. Just follow your doctors instructions, and you should be fine. I have been wearing them for 15 years now without any problems. I wear the disposable and I can wear them for two - three weeks before I switch to a new pair.

Take proper care of them:
wash your hands before touching them,
they're YOUR contacts and nobody else should use or touch them
if they fall, wash them immediatly with the (right) solution
remember to replace them about every month
be careful taking them out, doing it wrong could damage you eye or eyesight.
hope it helps.
