There are only 2 diseases a baby can get when just born. One is Tetanus and the other is Chickenpox. Please go to the Public Health Image Library---PHIL at the CDC website and look at the pictures of children who are born with chickenpox. Since you already had chickenpox---your child will not get it in utero---but if your 9 month old exposes your newborn---she/he CAN get chickenpox. (by the way---just for your information ---- the oph at the beginning of my name means Office of Public Health.) I have dealt with childhood diseases for the past 28 years. So this can be taken at face value of professional information. :-)

No, your antibodies will protect the fetus inutero.
