I have a male dog who dislikes most other dogs , but when when we brought in a litter of kittens(long story) , he just adored them , not only that, he was very protective of them.

It could be a # of things. My dog was the biggest of the litter and felt like it was his job to protect the rest of the group. Also, your dog may feel the care and concern you feel for the little things and want to help protect them for the family.

Just be thank full that he did not bite them dont ask why just enjoy that he is a good hearted good loving and good natured dog . You guys are doing a great job keep going

why do people just google over babies? same thing. we keep a good eye on babies, but we trust teens to go out on their own. i guess the dog trust the other dogs to do their thing, but the cats he knew were little and helpless.
