In what town does she live? If you give me all information you have about her, maybe I can help you a little. I also live in Romania and I can check easier. But do you have any written proof about the purpose you've sent her money? She could say it was a gift (but even in this case there are some possibilities). Anyway, what do you really want: to get your money back (it's very, very complicated in your case) or to take revenge? I can give you some tips to publicly embarrass her and maybe to legally complicate her life.

What you're describing is a thriving internet scam. Several websites have been under investigation for mail order brides from Russia.
The first thing you can do is call your local law enforcement agency. However, since the scam artist is in another country, chances are very poor that you'll receive compensation.
The second thing you can do is not send anymore money to her, or anything similar to this situation.

ouch! Ive heard a lot about this sort of thing.. The truth is it would probably cost more to track this person down, serve them with any sort of binding legal document and get them here to prosecute...
and even then, if you could find her again.. its not likely youll ever get to legal proceedings. At this stage of the game its better to cut your losses.
There are a few websites you can look up if you want to post her name photo and aliases...just google under money scams. The best thing you can do now is warn other people about her.

You've been taken and will never get your money back. Learn from this experince and don't ever send money to anyone you've never met, especially over the internet. This website may help track the person down who stole your heart and your money.

Well buddy, from what it looks like you're probably out of luck unless you know her real (important word there) name and where she really (another important word) lives.
