My son spilt diesel gasoline on his shirt and pants I have washed them 3 times now and they still smell. Any ideas on how to get rid of it. Please respond to whimpie1@yahoo.com Thanks Tina

well when i worked in US Army motorpool, i used a can of coke to help with grease and diesel ... it worked on severly nasty coveralls...unless they've change the contents of coca cola over the last 20 years it should work.

Pour detergent right on the stains, leave to soak in and work awhile. Dish washer liquid might help. The black stain from deisel oil will not come out, but the smell eventually does.

Air them out on a waching line. This takes a while but works. Leaving them for a few rain showers is really good too.

The coke idea is in fact true. It works better than anything I have ever experienced! Good one!

FIRE ! if you are lucky then your machine hasn't picked up the odor ( DID YOU SEE THE BIG NOTE ON THE LID THAT SAID NO FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS ! ) lucky it wasn't gasoline ( BOOM )

wash with dawn dish soap it works i work with heavy equipment ant this works trust me
