In yahoo answers, are you offended by children asking the advice of other children? I got on this sight by accident, and found that I could use my years of experience in many areas to assist other people in confirming what people have told them. Now, more and more children are coming into the sight, and stating they want advice from other children, Do you still give advice even though they do not want it?

Just wanted to add details. The sight, should have been site. (Yahoo Q&A)
I stumbled on to it when the questions had substance. when people were really worried about something. Now I shy away from answering certain questions but I can not avoid a child asking a child, do you like sex,,, I tell them they should not be thinking about it. A child asking a child about drugs, I tell them there is much more to life than jail or death. Some of you got my intended question, and some of you still acted like children about it. To those of you who did understand, thank you for the cunstructive answers, to those of you who did not understand,,,, grow up and then return to answer.

i give advice (answer) on what ever question i think i can help with regardless of if it is a child or an adult or an adult pensioner.
While not being offended by children coming to this site, i do have concerns for the number of children posting adds for friends and dating where they post the age they are and the age they are looking for.
as we all know often some sick perverted adults pretend to be children to gain a kids trust and do what is known as grooming.
thankfully that is a criminal offence so lets hope the police are on the ball monitoring this site for those sick individulals.

if i see a childs add for friends i report the prolem to yahoo and also reply to the question reminding the child of the dangers faced online.
my question to the asker, why do you consider women as adults at 21 but men as adults over 30?

(I'm 23) I do. There may be that one child that I might be able to help so as long as I look at the positive side its okay with me. Other times some of the children on here just need a reality check and I am more than happy to answer those.

There are so many young kids on here asking about sex and other things like that when they should be focusing on getting into or out of high school. That makes me pretty sad.

Yes, sometimes kids think that their parents are the meanest worse in the world, and maybe when they hear from other adults that they agree with their parents or that other parents are worse then their parents. They will back off.
You have seen it, I am 13 yo and need a notebook computer and a cell phone, how can get my parents to buy it for me.

Kids often answer, keep asking. I say, work, save up for 1/2 , that will show your parents that you are serious and deserving.....

By the way the word is site not sight.

I actually have not seen a kid stating that they only wanted another child to answer but I view anyone on the Internet requesting the attention of a child as a potential pedophile anyway. I'm hugely pessimistic when it comes to the Internet. I think most people misrepresent their looks, age, sex, marital status, or all of the above.

Advice is like assholes. Everyone has one, and look what comes out of it. If someone asks my advice, I will give it. I am well over 30 (actually 63). Of course, very little of my advice is followed, and that's probably okay, too. My experiences are my experiences and may not be of help to someone else. Still, on the rare occasion when someone does follow my advice and is helped, it does make me feel good to have been of help. Does that answer your question?

Why are women adults at 21 and men at 30? I don't understand your math. Anyway, you can give advice whenever you feel like it if you need the points. Say ask a doctor or something like that if you don't know the answer.

Yes I see your point.. I just answer whatever one I think they can use my help in... This site gets on my nerves a lot though seeing how many Perverts and Sexatics are on here considering the children too... But oh well, theres not much we can do right?

I can't even tell who is a child, and who is an adult-the spelling on here can be so bad at times, it appears most of the questions are asked by children...

On the normal site I gave advice to two of them and I can tell you they listen... they get back to you.

I do not know what part of yahoo answers are you referring exactly, where children want opinions from children only. But I think we, the adults, should respect their options, we cannot force them to rely on us, sometimes is better to make the mistakes themselves to learn thoroughly. As most of us did, actually!

my understanding is that this forum is intended for those over the age of 18 and,i am very reluctant to answer the question of a child, these are things that they should be asking family members, not strangers, also there are many comments instead of questions, this has quickly become a sounding board, not a place to seek answers.
