He didn't!!!! We evolved to the climates in those countries!

He didn't put people in different places. A very long time ago, the first people came from Africa. People eventually separated to form different tribes, who travelled to far away places. Some people settle in certain places, and others settled into other places. Back then, the continents hadn't drifted that far apart yet, so people could walk, for example, from Russia to Alaska and down into the continental US and into South America. The first people were in Africa, then split in the Middle East- some went to Europe, some went into Asia; some into Australia, some into Russia (and then on into Alaska, and the rest of the Americas.)

There is a theory (and probably true) that some went from Africa straight to Australia (there was enough land or ice connecting the two). The reason why people have different colorings and markings is because, over a long period of time, these tribes of people that stayed in these different areas of the world, have adapted to their climate. It's called evolution, and it's going on all around us all the time but we don't realize it because it's an extremely slow process. You can visit the oldest (and 'purest' tribes in Africa (they are disappearing rapidly, but there are still a few) and they look very much like a mix of black, Asian, and Indian- complete with slanted eyes. Very interesting.

White people became that white because of the cold climates of Europe. Asian people got slanted eyes from their African ancestors. You will notice slanty eyes on Scandanavians too.

So, you see, there is no scientific definition of 'race.' Race is a political definition. We are all related to one another. We are all one human race.

God didn't do it, it was just what happened as a result of segmented generic pockets. After people language were changed, at the Tower of Babylon, they separated, according their their particular language, and spread out. It is only by happenstance that they ended up where they did. It could have been blacks in Europe, Whites in China, and Yellow, along with American Indian in Africa. All these genetic possibilities was found in Adam, whose name meant Red Man in ancient Hebrew and carried through the great flood with Noah. When this Earth is turned back into a paradise, and the genes are once again mixed, we will like start seeing children again looking like Adam.

People's skin adapts to their environment. The high temperatures and brightness of the sun, plus the UV rays from living in africa would give skin a predisposition to being dark;

Similarly in overly snowy places like the tundra its the same as the snow reflects the light.

If you think I'm taking this in to scientific a turn, try this- God provides man with all the tools necessary. Thats why white people dont last very well in Africa, they're not built for it.

God didn't make anyone like that! Where are you coming from? People evolved and became something resembling human animals in Mother Africa. Lots of other evolutions happened. Disasters; climate changes; earthquakes and land masses breaking up.
To cut a long story short, those who went north adapted to the climate there and became white. Those who went south got darker skin. Those who went to the North Pole died.
All God did was to give us melanin and put the problem of cause and effect on the planet.

The simple answer is that God didn't do it.

This is simply an example of the evolutionary adaptation of a species to its environment.

This also explains why the Inuit Indians around the Artic Circle are darker skined. The snow reflects UV light and their darker skin protects them from the UV light.

There is NO evidence of any God being involved in anything on earth or anywhere else.

People tried to make a tower to reach to heaven, so God destroyed the tower and separated the people. I believe that living in the different environments changed the way that the people looked.

Well... this is my best theory. Granted; it is just a theory.

He made us all originally with melatonin, aka with dark skin. However, when people scattered across the earth the need for melatonin started to go away and therefore was phased out of lighter skin's gene pools more and more and that's how we have the different races today.

Race is a cultural construct created by man. Obviously, physical traits like skin color are products of natural selection, which is evolution. I am not audacious enough to claim to know what God intended.

isn't it more likely that when humans were evolving, each race developed a different skin tone to deal with the environmental factors (namely, sunlight) that they recieved in their respective areas? dark skin in africa where there is lots of sun, light skin in europe where it is cold and less sun reaches the earth, for example.

Variety is the spice of life and God knows that. But certain aspects of the different races are genetic mutations thanks to the different regions on the earth.
