Everyone always tells me to 'get out of the kitchen' because they think I'm a bad cook (I sort of agree mostly...but I can microwave the Jell-O snack packs just right!). So, would they think differently if I moved this stuff? Would my cooking skills improve?

No. Moving your appliances will not improve your cooking skills. And you're likely to set your draperies on fire if you move the stove too near.

You're much better off acquiring the take-out menus from several restaurants and ordering out. You may also want to purchase a simple cookbook that will walk you through the intricacies of boiling an egg to microwaving oatmeal. You've got the Jell-O thing down, so that's a start, anyway.

If you do decide to move your appliances, I recommend purchasing a fire extinguisher.

no i believe they just mean get out of the kitchen because you are a bad cook and that if you moved your stove/microwave to your room or living room will not improve it. and do not try it because there are flamable things in those rooms like couches and stuff. the fire fighters would end up hating you.
