Julio Cesar Chaves is the best triple crown champ ever. I agree. He's an amazing boxer to watch and the greatest Mexican boxer that every lived. His record speaks for itself.

Sugar Ray Robinson was a great fighter, welterweight, middleweight and close to Lt heavyweight champ, Chavez no way was even close to Ray Robinson. Boxing is overated in the present day, too many divisions, too many CHAMPS. If I had to mention, it would be Henry Armstrong, the triple crown winner in 1938. I saw Ray fight on tv in his later years, he had some good moves even at age 40 fighting a draw with Fullmer, Ray in my opinion was the winner of that fight

Chavez was overhyped. Most of his victories came against bums and people just dug up from the cemetery. He was a front runner, like Mike Tyson, but as soon as he started losing he became a whiner and excuse maker.
His draw with Pernell Whitaker was an early Christmas present from the WBC.

What about Ray Robinson? I admit, Chavez was one greastest... but THE greatest? I doubt it. But definately in the top 3.
