Do you think you were brainwashed when you were in the military? What is your deal on slamming our troops anyway? Just because you had a bad experience doesnt make it right for you to say the things you do. My husband is a great man who is doing what he believes in and supporting his family at the same time.

Let me let you in on some thing. Military people are not brained washed. They go into the military because they want to. When you are in the military you have to take orders, if they tell you, you are going to war well that's where you go because that is your job. So if you do not like the military, just keep your mouth shut, because some one has to to the job, and you should be proud that our military is there, so this way you could sleep good at night. I know how these young man and women feel, I was in the military for 24 years, and that was the best time of my life. So next time you want to ask some thing this again, think before you open your mouth, you might put your foot in it. So next time you see some one in the military just say thank you, for what you are doing for me and my family and take your head out of your ***.

I've spent years in the military, and saw no sign of any kind of brainwashing. No one was told anything that didn't check out in any way you cared to learn about it.
I can't say that for some like you who has never been in the service but sure know a lot about it from heresay.
There's an old saying, " Don't put your jaw in high gear with your brain in neutral." Assuming you have a brain.

I remember the barber in boot camp asking me did I need a final rinse or just the usual refilling of the empty spot in my scull with marbles when he finished with the frontal lobotomy and military hair cut... What a question... If the military was so brain washed then it had to happen during high school...because I joined of my own free will, and have been serving for a long time and my wife hasn't noticed any mental problems so far (except stupid people asking stupid question seems to be getting under my skin allot easier)

The only Brainwashing that I have got was the washing of media crap ,that the rest of the world receives on the nightly news. They can't and will not depict the real truth of what a everyday American Soldier has to endure in that hell hole of a place we call the sandbox. I serve my country and will die for the same people that protest me and my job , because that is what being an AMERICAN really means. FREEDOM !!! No I'm not brainwashed i just have a mindset that you will never have. You are welcome , from all my brothers and sisters that have died before me and the ones to die in the future that will keeps us as we are today . SAPPERS LEAD THE WAY !!!!

Wow some interesting answers here, im active duty Coast guard, yes thats military and i work in search and rescue and Law enforcement. . . helping civilians and commercial vessels when there in trouble and need help, also monitoring traffic that comes in and out of US ports and im not brainwashed at all. I thought it was a good day to day thing so i could help people everyday instead of just training to help or hurting people. Im not brainwashed at all. Helping people that are drowning is not brain washed, and in a sense all military branches are helping people that are in trouble, either people drowning or people not strong enough to defend themselves or defending against people that might want to attack us..

Heheheh, kids!!! THAT is what basic training is for. It breaks you down and reforms you into the image of "this man's Army". You gotta recruit kids because any rational thinking adult wouldn't put up with that crap. If you're into a military career, you'll learn the system. If you're not, don't get involved. If you've every had to get your head where soldiers have to get them (you obviously have never been in combat, thank God), you wouldn't be so judgmental. It's hard, thankless work, and nobody wants to die for people like you. But if that's asked of them, that's what they do... Brainwashing??? You don't have a clue...

Who says they're brainwashed? I served in the military for a couple of years, and I'll tell the truth, I didn't go in to "serve my country". I went in for the college money and because it was(basically) a steady job. That's the major reason most of the people in are really in. Unfortunately, you can't just quit like, you would a civilian job, if you don't like what you're doing.

Thank god they are making an anti Stupid pill because you need the whole bottle. They believe in the mission and they are trained to do the job, They serve so cowards like you can put them down. Folks like your self would never put others needs ahead of your own selfish interest.
