Actually I believe the people make the wedding FUN! lol Because I have been to weddings were the people were silent and kept to them-self and let me tell you NOT fun lol but on the other hand there weddings were there are people that are just plain crazy and want to have all the fun they can to celebrate the newly weds! But of course dancing is fun too lol because you never know what dance move people will go do next lol

I think Favors and Ice Sculptures make the wedding memorable and personal! Plus Ice Sculptures are pretty too! ;)

I think favors, music, or some extra activitives will be fun! I been to a wedding where the couple tells their love stories with a big screen for picture slides. Friends and family were also involved in giving comments and wishes. I really like that and think that's fun, share the happy moments with the couple. Then some group activitives also would be nice.

Have you bought your wedding favor or guest gifts already? Here's a website where you can find unique & personalize gifts that will make your wedding day more memorable and special~ Please take a look :)

Open bar is good to have. I've been to several weddings that had cash bars, lets just say 90% of the guest left pretty much after dinner.

At my wedding we had custard filled donut holes in mini chinese take-out boxes for the guest to have a snack on their drive home along with coffee. I also passed out sparklers(fireworks) during dancing( dancing was outdoors). Since my wedding was during summer and outdoors I served ice cream cake instead of regular wedding cake which was a hit amongst the guests.

What makes a wedding fun? Keep the party flowing. A lot of weddings i've been to didn't flow. For example, people are dancing having a good time, then the dancing gets interrupted for the bouquet toss. After the toss it takes awhile before people start getting their groove back on. Keep the good vibes flowing

I recently went to a wedding and they had everyone doing the chicken dance, hokey pokey, and then they even played limbo! We had so much fun! Yes there was an open bar. And they had a sit down meal and they placed you at tables. they mixed people brides friends with grooms friends, so you got to met new people. They also had a large ice sculpture, it was a 4 tier basket and had fruit in it.
Also make something up like if people start to bang on the table with their silver ware the bride and groom would have to kiss.
The groom also had a pair of thongs under his jacket pocket when he went to get the gater off, he used his teeth but put the undies, it was funny.

I think it's important to set the mood with music. I've been to many weddings and I can say I had the most fun at those where the music made me get up an dance

I have been to plenty of weddings, both good and bad. I am currently planning my own and "fun" tops my list as one of the most important things I want to get out of the whole thing.

First off, check out the guest list. If you have a bunch of stuffy people on the list, most likely that will be how the reception would go. Unless of course you get them all drunk and give them cameras! That or give them to the kids who will be there. Have a drop box by the out door that the guests can toss it in and you can get them developed.

Alcohol is ok, but it is not necessary. If a guest seems to be getting a tad bit intoxicated, offer him water before he gets naked and starts to dance with Aunt Mildred to "Shake your grrove thang".

Next, get a funky DJ who is ok with playing a wide variety of music. Disco tunes are always a hit. Stay away from the chicken dance, the Macarena, line dancing or the electric slide. Not only are they played out, they are irritating to watch. Funky stuff like the song Flashlight is good. Do couple dances out of the hat. What that is is everyone throws their names in to designated hats. One for women/girls. one for the guys/boys. You pull one name out of each and that person has to dance with the person out of the other hat. That is funny because you get old with young, fast with slow, and moments that can only be shown on Americas funniest home videos.

Another cool thing would be the camera booth/room. You put a video camera in a booth/room and let the guest go in and say what they want on camera. (screen it before you show anyone!)

I saw a chocolate fountain that the guests dipped strawberries in. That was cool.

It is totally up to you! I am all for fun! (but saving money in the mean time.) Hit up Oriental trading company for your favors.

Congratulations!

for wedding favors you can make a cd of all the love songs or songs that distinguish you two, hand them out! do a photo show of you guys growing up and then together.
maybe put something under everyone's chair - tape it to the underneath, and the person with a certain thing wins a little prize from the bride and groom?
i wouldn't suggest putting disposable cameras on the table cause 1/2 the time people forget to turn the flash on, or they keep it for themselves.

Serve snacks well into the night (an hour or so after cake has been served) because guests get hungry after all the dancing. We had hula hoops at our outdoor wedding intended for the kids but the adults ended up having fun with them too!

- short reception, followed by a live butterfly release
- fun band AND a DJ playing fun music that you have picked out
- disposable cameras given to the KIDS! you'll get some interesting and amusing pictures that way =)
- substitute the cake for stacked tiers of cupcakes
- small containers of bubbles for favors
- all the things that YOU like...when the bride is happy, the guests are happy, and when everyone's happy it's always fun =)

Good luck!

In order of priority:

Keep the ceremony itself short.

Have the reception on a small cruise boat on a cool summer's night in September with a live band playing music for young and old alike. An open bar is nice, but expensive.
