Hot Wings
5 lbs chicken legs or chicken wings (tips removed)
Hot Sauce Mixture
2 (6 ounce) bottles Bruce's hot sauce (or your favorite brand)
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/3 cup Italian salad dressing, not creamy
2 teaspoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons dried basil leaves
2-6 servings
40 minutes 10 mins prep
Broil chicken until done and is a nice golden crispy brown.
Mix up sauce while chicken is cooking.
Once chicken is done, dip each piece of chicken into sauce and return to broiler.
Allow sauce to become a bit dry being careful not to burn.
Dip each piece of chicken in sauce again and put under broiler one more time making sure to put opposite side up.
Eat with Chicken flavored noodles and a veggie for a complete meal, or do as we do and pig out without anything else.
ENJOY!

Mine are very simple and a variation from the norm.
I spread the wings out on a baking sheet, nonstick foil, rub oriental chili paste on the wings and sprinkle w/ some salt, pepper and dried oregano, then bake at 375 degree for 45min- 1 hour. Yummy.

when I make hot wings I need just wings, hot sauce, a little salt and pepper and my deep fat fryer. If I really want to kick up the heat, I marinate my wings in hot sauce for a couple hours before deep frying then sprinkle well with hot sauce when I pull them out. Really, really good stuff.

deep frying is absolutely necessary. Afterward, coat them evenly in whatever sauce you prefer. From here you can grill or bake them to set the sauce and keep them crispier. For traditional Buffalo wings you add a side of carrots, celery and chunky blue cheese dressing for dip
btw if you have vegetarian friends make follow this process with cheese raviolli!

Deep Fry the wings, then swirl them around in your favorite hot sauce. Tabasco adds a good kick and a couple drops of vinegar will help with the flavor too.
