It seems to me that everytime someone posts a racy question, there are more people that answer with "reported" or "you know there are children on here how dare you.." than anything else. Why bother to click on it? If you don't want to read it you don't have to, and if your children are old enough to access this material OUTSIDE OF YOUR SUPERVISION, then you should already have had detailed conversations about human sexuality with them. In the end, maybe you should spend less time dealing with us and more time dealing with those you claim to be worried about...

Not trying to be a jerk, just think that your time could be better spent.

Oh, I know!! Maybe it's because the people who are easily offended are the same ones who like to stick their noses in other people business? I dunno. I am not easily offended so I'll never understand, I guess. ;)

If someone is posting 'adult material' just to get a rise out of people or because they are immature, then it should be reported.

The fact of the matter is that kids and mature people are on here and they either shouldn't be exposed to that or don't want to be, respectively.

If it's against the rules, and you break the rules, then why get mad at the people who report you? Get mad at Yahoo! for making said rules. It just doesn't make sense to blame someone else for your breaking the rules.

How about this for a suggestion? Contact the Yahoo!Answers folks and ask them if an "adult area", that could be blocked by parental control, might be created as a new question forum?

I can see both sides of this argument, and maybe this would be a good solution. Parents could block their kids, and you could ask your questions...and maybe even get serious answers. I think Yahoo's only concern might be that such a forum might devolve into a de facto porn site though.

Still...worth a shot.

The terms of service of a site are in place for a reason. People who complain about being reported are like those who speed and complain to the cop about getting a ticket. When you sign up here, you have to hit that little check mark that says: AGREE. So, you agree to be reported or deleted if you don't follow those rules.

really that simple.

sometimes one does not know that the question is "racy" until it has been clicked on. I have reported some questions, not because they were "racy" but because they were vulgar and gross. There is a difference!

Because this isn't the place for it. There are people of all ages here and maybe people who don't want to stumble on to it. There are websites for posting adult content, yahoo answers isn't one of them.

Yes your time could be better spent. In stead of worring about "up tight" people you could be mowing the lawn or washing your car in the rain or something like that.

I agree......whole heartedly....It's about time people start taking responsibility for what their kids are introduced to, and spend less time trying to control the rest of the world into being "kid-friendly"
