Is having glasses a deadly burden which will depress you and make you carry it through the rest of your life?
Do you ever get used to it like everyday item?
If you can see the outer rims of your glasses and your whole glasses, does that mean its too small?

they are only a burden if you let them be..... some people let them control their whole life and become obsessed and paranoid about wearing them...

i wore them when i was younger, but as a stupid kid i took them off at school and tried to go without them.... gave me headaches but i was teased a lot so i thought it was worth it.

but eventually i got used to them and after a while you forget they are there, but if they bother you that much try looking into contact lenses.
when choosing a pair of glasses don't be afraid to take your time and find a pair that suit you, they are like clothes i suppose and you will feel better wearing a pair that suit you and look good.

Good luck! :)
glasses aren't that bad, so don't let them be an issue

I first got glasses when I was 12. I could still see ok without them but things were clearer when I wore them. But I decided that they looked stupid and only wore them to watch movies or shows. I carried them in a case in my pocket in case I needed them but stopped carrying them after a few months. Then I lost them and didn't bother to get new ones.
My vision got worse as I got older and when I was 15 I got glasses and started wearing them in earnest. I couldn't see very well without them so the burden of having to wear them and keep them clean and not lose them was totally worth being able to recognise people from more than 5 feet away.
Glasses are annoying, though. Now I'm 18 and I've had contact lenses for almost a year. They kind of annoying sometimes but I like them a lot better than glasses

But to answer your questions directly:
-->Glasses are a light burden that you carry you whole life. Don't let something that lame depress you.
-->You get used to them in about a week but it takes more like a month to completely accept them the way you accept your shirt.
-->If you can't see the rims you're either wearing no glasses or glasses the size of a big rig windsheild

They can be a burden, yes, but on the other hand, it's probably worth it to be able to see clearly. Blurrly vision is definately a burden!! You will get used to them very quickly, and people will get used to seeing you wearing them very quickly too- you probably know people now who you think look funny without their glasses! You'll get used to seeing the rims too, don't worry about them being too small, as long as they work for you and you like the way they look. When your eyes quit changing so much, you might think about getting contact lenses and/or surgery. For now, it ain't as bad as you think it will be!
