Some places have historical plaques on poles describing events that happened there for travelers to read. I was thinking they are pretty boring and wanted to make my own.
Here is one I am thinking of:
"On this site in 1873 a massacre happened when herd of wild pigs tore through a settler's encampment killing 137 people. The pigs moved on to destroy an army outpost killing 78 soldiers. The 8th calvary was called out and back on this same spot, the pigs were defeated. It was soon to be called the battle of bacon bits."

I think that you have a moral obligation to put them up. History is written by the victors. And wise-asses, too apparently. When you put them up, wait a few days and take pictures. Let me know when you do this, please.
