You are absolutely right about one thing. God does hate the religions of this world and what they have done in His name. He refers to them as a harlot in the book of Revelation that prostitutes herself to the governments of the world. No God isn't impressed with rituals or fake piety. The only thing He takes note of is the people who are trying to live their lives by his will, his word, the ones who are FOLLOWING Jesus example not trying to put their own spin on it. All that one has to do is read the bible with an open mind and sincere interest in learning the truth. When you do so it becomes easy to see that the religions of today have nothing to do with God.

@matthew faith is unquestionably huge in various countries (eg Britain, are we no longer present day? I mean a minimum of we've some heritage...yet we were the first united states of america contained in the international to have an commercial revolution...). faith is enormous in China too, only maximum issues are unlawful so it really isn't any longer as public. S_MAN I consider you for only about each thing you reported :) the single difficulty i could disagree on is 'supply charity and lead a reliable existence and he will provide you heaven'. God despatched Jesus to die for us and all we want to do us attempt our perfect to stay for him. see you later as we renowned our mistakes, he will forgive us and we will visit heaven. yet properly carried out for asking this question, i imagine all and sundry is being very ignorant to brush aside what you say!

However people choose to worship God is acceptable. God should be worshipped, and no one way is right for everyone.
According to James, chapter 1 verse 27, "Religion that God accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress."

Religion by definition is a demonstration of faith. God wouldnt dispise a demonstration of faith if it is honest and pleasing to Him. The Bible says that rituals and chanting and things like that mean nothing to Him but what is in the heart. What does the Bible teach about religion?
James 1:27Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
Good way to demonstrate faith huh? If you read the first chapter of Revelation, you see Jesus speaking to 7 churches, because of their differences and agreements, they look like "organized religions" but see what He says to them.

If there is a God I don't think he/she would despise the rituals of religion as much as the hate that's spread in the name of it.

God is an atheist.
And, if there is a God, heaven, hell and all that stuff, the only people who will be in heaven will be atheists.
God is one smart dude, he doesn't want to surround himself with ignorant morons pounding on their bibles and blathering on about what "God said" when what they really mean is what "Bob said," or what "John said." (etc. times thousands)
Jews, Christians & Muslims (any other book or person follower) will all be in hell.

I think that if Jesus walked the earth today, he would be disgusted by organized religion. I don't think that is what he intended at all. He came to teach us about loving and caring for one another. He didn't authorize Baptist, Catholic, Apostolic......
That is all made up by man. What a crock.

Saying God doesn't like religion is like saying Madonna doesn't like fan clubs.
God would be a nobody if it wasn't for religion.
